Is this person 1) primarily known for playing a woodwind instrument, 2) included in at least one African-American category in Wikipedia, or 3) both?

E.g., for #2, at the bottom of Duke Ellington's page he is listed as included in the following categories:

African-American conductors (music) / African-American film score composers / African-American jazz composers / African-American jazz pianists / African-American male composers
