To refer to Ferdinand Foch as 'a military man of some sort' is a bit of an interpretive stretch. Especially in the context that the question 'military' was answered as a straight 'yes'. It gives an impression as if he had been somewhat involved in the military without being its formal member; the figures of Che Guevara or Francesco Nullo come to my mind as an example.
