I was concerned that was the reason rdrivera was suspecting Neon's claim.

While the obvious conclusion is that the mafia were willing to trade Neon for identifying the doctor, I think we should wait to see if Neon comes back before hammering.

Why would Mafia not kill neon? If she's truely doctor, that's a town clear.

One reason is she's scum, so they have to pick someone else.

I think they got unlucky by flipping the real doc, thus proving Neon is lying.

Maybe someone else has some thing, but i can't think of any reason why Neon wouldn't be the target is she was not Mafia. They could always kill her with the kill RB combo, so they must have known she was lying.

That is not urgent, and it does not even have to be D5, since we have one mis-kill left. It is probably better to wait until D6 even if she never come back to post, so have more town votes when trying to find the other mafia.

I think this might be right. And when they first started this plan, they didn't anticipate Eden would be caught so soon. They thought they'd lose Neon and be down to 2 instead of 1

Because I've been sus of Eden for the whole game. I felt vindicated after that. I never was particularly honed in on ghug before he flipped

Yeah, makes sense and I agree it's possible – but how can we confirm that? Of course that's what Princess Neon will say, that much is a given / guarantee. That's what I would say if I were a Mafia in her shoes too...

But I guess it's interesting to see who else believes or not believes that and how others react, right? ATM, most folks haven't even posted their initial reaction about the Doctor's death. Which should help a bit.

If Neon was fake claiming as town, the mafia could have picked up that rdrivera had a good reason to suspect Neon was not the doctor from posts like this:

Eden, I just have a lot of difficulty tryng to connect to your line of thought this game and this isn't usual when you are town.

The way you dismissed Bozo's idea about Damo that was solid townie it's just beyond what I would expect from you. Same to Neon's claim defense.
If we miskill you today we probably lose, but this is valid for any miskill. I don't think Chaqa is scum and TFB have looked townie but I could be wrong here.

Neon is probably scum and I struggle to see the last one, probably just fisch and we are overthinking.

Of course, the other possibility is that PE and Neon were working together to get the doctor to claim. The part about Fluminator not being saved because swordsman did not enter a save order could have been an attempt to get the real doctor mis-killed if they counter claimed Neon. Then, when the mafia realized rdrivera was the doctor, they knew they had no chance of winning a CC battle.
