That depends on what Nephthys meant by "had not been online". I do not how closely Nephthys is able to monitor someone's online activity.
I know this from his webdip profile. I was just cruising through to see people past games etc and I noticed that it at the time said "last active Mon 3am" for me EOD is 11am. This means that in order to input the order he would need to have submitted it 8hrs before the END OF NIGHT. There is no way that someone would order a kill suspecting there is a kill EON.

As to whether it could have been faked. Yes. However I know from his profile that Quas only plays mafia here, not dip. Therefore I think it unreasonable that he was aware of the profile changes make during the anonymity overhaul and also it would be a very odd move.

@Neph - I think you make some decent points in your case.
The most salient to me is the point about him getting upset in regards to his interactions with xorxes/worcej.
