Maniac, I liked your post about the psychotrooper. Had a question about it then realized it had a pretty obvious answer.

Do I push my claim today or let the traction on Celaph reach its natural conclusion?

I know many of you don't believe in scumslips, but this looks like Kgray believes Damo has a scan different to what Damo has alluded to.

So let me get this straight...

There are only two possibilities. There is either (a) Alien PsychoTrooper or (b) there isn't and that role reverses all investigations. It's a fun role so good chance that if it was dealt then someone would choose it.

Damo666 has an innocent scan on Celaph which means (a1) Celaph is town or Alien. As there are far more town roles than Alien, it's more likely he is town or (b1) Celaph is Mafia.

So the recommendation is we kill Celaph to see if there is an alien PsychoTrooper.

Pros: (a2) Alien PsychoTrooper exists
1 - If Celaph flips scum we know for sure if there is a PsychoTrooper (unless he is an Alien). Because Mafia already knew if Celaph was Mafia and now he has an inno scan, they already know if there is a PsychoTrooper so they don't learn any more.
2 - we can do some VCA if celaph is Mafia
3 - we have killed a mafia
Cons:
None

Pros: (b2) Alien PsychoTrooper doesn't exists
1 - We learn that psychotrooper doesn't exist.

Cons:
1 - We lose a Townie

Are there other ways of determining if PsychoTrooper exists?
Yes. If there is no RB then damo can get a collection of scans and as soon as any of those don't tie up with their flip a Psychotrooper is exposed.
Or the Coroner can investigate a dead body and to see who killed them.

What good does knowing about PschoTropper do for us?
If Damo is RB/Killed we might never get anymore scans anyway.

On balance it's worth killing Celaph for info, that may only be VCA

@Hamilton Brian - You mean your claim you can discredit someone on Bozo's list.

I'm not sure. If you are a role that someone has said they have discarded, then do you think there could be a town reason for that. If for example there was only one VT in the game and you were it and someone has claimed to discard it, could that be because they could be a PR role? IDK, I'm thinking out loud. If you think the BS claim is scum indicative, then maybe claiming now would be good. Killing scum early usually gives us good info.

It's your call though.

Yes in effect Damo has said he has an innocent scan and Kgray has called that an alien scan. Does she (Kgray) know celaph is alien and that there is a psychotrooper making damo666 scan read as inno.

I think it needs to be the following:

1) She's an alien
2) She know's celaph is/isn't
3) She know's the psychotrooper isn't/is in play

So I guess just her being alien is enough and believing damo.

Would they really? TIme zones kind of matter too. It's been so in my head that I just skimmed yesterday's and this morning pages with only half attention. I think that if we can flip this person it will be good for town...be they scum or alien. I just can't think why town would overtly lie.

What would town gain by lying about a claim?

I think I'm going to leave it alone for right now. I need to time this right because I don't want to out anything too late for a wagon to form. I want to do some investigating because I don't want to rest on my laurels. It's only one person out of at least 3.

To be fair, a wagon can form in under five minutes, but if there's a chance you've made an error in reasoning definitely give it a bit longer than that.
