For brain to be scum, I think foodcoats needs to be scum. I can't make sense of his start of day otherwise.

And then there's Bozo.
Bozo did at least list Bismarck as a scumread several times during D2. That's a point in his favour, I suppose.
But then there was this, 12 minutes before the deadline:
There was no reaction from Bozo, who kept his vote right there on Bismarck.
Hmm.
@Bozo: You called on Bismarck to claim. He did so. Why did you keep your vote on him?

Hm?
Could you talk us through your thought process there, Xšaya-ṛšā?
Re: M55: The Last Party - Game Thread
If food is scum, Mafia more or less already knew what would happen and so his reaction could have been planned. Still a strange thing to do, but let's say possible.Jamiet99uk wrote: ↑Sun May 03, 2020 12:31 amHm?

If food is town, however, there's no way scum!brain could have predicted the outcome, so the reaction was spontaneous. I don't see why he would blurt out that he knew food's role (thinking it was Commuter). It is possible he did some quick thinking, realized it was Lightning Rod + Jailor, and came up with the Commuter story as a towntell, but I don't really see that happening.

I suppose there's little reason scum!Brain would relay this information to his teammates then and not wait until EoN. So brain is likely town unless they're both scum?xorxes wrote: ↑Sun May 03, 2020 12:38 amIf food is scum, Mafia more or less already knew what would happen and so his reaction could have been planned. This is a good postJamiet99uk wrote: ↑Sun May 03, 2020 12:20 amSo, Brainbomb.
Brainbomb barely mentioned Bismarck all through D2 and did not appear to scumread him. He declared his main scumreads as being Vecna, Foxcastle, kgray, and Flash.
Then 1hr 11min (or 9 pages) before the deadline, he voted Bismarck on the basis that Bismarck was potentially going to get Modkilled. He then apparently vanished.
However, he was apparently able to be online at around about EoD time, because a few minutes after the "please hold" message, while Worcej was still processing the end of the phase, he posted a rather inappropriate post encouraging Worcej not to modkill EMC. This suggests to me that he had been present at EoD because he had seen EMC's little misdemeanour involving the screenshot. He should also therefore have noticed that Bismarck was present, and voting.
Yet, Brainbomb chose not to speak up, and left his vote on Bismarck as the deadline rolled over.
Hmm.

Re: M55: The Last Party - Game Thread
The phase is just under four hours old and various people live in different time zones. I should go to bed as it's nearly 2am here. I don't think people's lack of posting four hours into a 24 hour phase is all that indicative.summit_fever wrote: ↑Sun May 03, 2020 12:55 amI'd like to point out that at this time:

However, the fact that Bozo and Brain were around for EoD but vanished around the point of Bismarck's flip?
Hmmm.

I'm curious EMC. Are you happy with the way you handled day 2?

Re: M55: The Last Party - Game Thread
To an extent it was me trying to get as much out there and interact with as many people that I could so that if I did get lynched people would be able to maximize the info.
Re: M55: The Last Party - Game Thread
But Bismarck definitely should've said something earlier.
However, the lack of traction that any counter wagon got in the day was concerning, especially in consideration the same thing happened D1 - we gained a lead wagon very early in the day and it never changed. An alternative was never close, at any point.

Re: M55: The Last Party - Game Thread
I will not claim to know brain's scum mind well, but I am going to put it out there that when I was playing hostile 3P I did impulsively claim an NK attempt without thinking it through in a similar fashion - which hindsight puts it as a mistake.xorxes wrote: ↑Sun May 03, 2020 12:51 amAs town, yes. So it is possible, but not sure how much it would apply to brain. The only way I see it working if he was scum is that his original target was foodc.
Re: M55: The Last Party - Game Thread
Do tell me if I need to elaborate on why but it seems pretty clear.

I'm also still not sure what to make of Neph lmao
I still believe he's taunting for something, but haven't thoughts anymore to motivation behind it.
