Ehh maybe it's not as clearcut as we thought. I think there's a reasonable chance that mafia knew both were dead anyway because of battlemaster. So any people voting Balki over Dip don't get as much credit as they might otherwise get.
(Even though I was the one who really got the swing on Balki going after his nokill vote)

It's not impossible it was a town PR move knowing it likely happened before the duel.

I think the main moral is the Dip wagon to begin with was just terrible and those are the most suspicious people.
If you care, I felt confident that Dip was scum and issued his action as a last chance to save his ass.
I do care about Dip voters. I checked the bot and you said you voted him because his post count was higher than normal. Was there any other reasons mentioned later?

In fact, why wouldn't scum battle master have used it day 1 with TvT?
Town using it early makes the most sense because it has the least likelihood of devastating the game.

Scum should've saved it for later in the game to fuck with milo/kilo math. I'd be inclined to think that if it was used by scum, the user was one of the wagons near EOD (Jamie, fisch, or ghug) who were concerned they'd possibly die and need to use it before losing it.

Nothing until the PR action.

I'll be very honest, I've been barely able to pay attention to the game until now that I'm home.

Not me, my only power is finding Town and being ignored. Otherwise just VT.

I think he was scum once? I don't have a strong impression on him honestly, he's relatively new to the community and thus I'm guarded when I approach analyzing them.

The D1 top poster was not normal for him.

Looking at bot history, he's only ever been scum before? Wouldn't a casual meta read on him based on activity point to him being town?

Dousing defending himself from Balki during the night, after Balki died seems kinda interesting
Can you actually plant a flag with this?

You know, I might actually analyze this.

It's possible but unlikely that Battle Master activated after the duel was announced. Consequently, it was activated earlier. Town doesn't have motivation to activate it unless two scumreads seem extremely likely to be the top two wagons. Or at least town reads are unlikely to be. Town would also likely communicate that the power was activated.

Consequently, Mafia activated it. Which means they thought it unlikely they would be in the top two wagons.
Totally possible take at the end that I didn't consider.

Every game I either struggle to find town reads or scum reads, and this game it's hard to find town reads lol.

Congrats to my nulls, you have all been updated to slight town
I think game size really murders my ability to read a specific person well. There is so much going on, you can lose someone in the noise.

Add that with only basic understanding of the game state and you get me right now lol...

I think you're over-assuming how much effort I put into this game when I business traveled this week.

I went with vibes - Dip being a top poster on D1 I *knew* was not normal and that immediately jumped out to me as weird/different. I don't like different.

I was the lead auditor for the internal ISO 9001:2015 audit for my companies largest production site that produces caustic soda (NaOH), hydrochloric acid (HCl), and Liquid Chlorine (Cl2) and has over 100 employees.

I interviewed ~20 people over 30 hours of on-site time and then worked in my hotel room to compile everything for the next day's interviews.

Is this all an excuse? No. But don't think I did any meta analysis or prior-game reviews on the bot as I tried to follow this game via my cell phone the past few days :P

I think D2 VCA is somewhat tainted due to the PR actions FWIW.
