Historically, as scum I've been heavily scumread by D2. I managed to survive to D5 last time as scum before dying, but I think the general belief is that I'm easy to catch as scum and a useful asset as town therefore making me a bad D1 kill.

what do you think is the best way to catch scum?

Well the last game I played I fucking sucked at it soooo the theories r still developing. But I was looking out for ppl being too defensive, or always voting with a pack, or flip flopping their accusations a lot. What kinda stuff do u suggest? Idt I’m quite over the learning curve

my primary way of scumhunting is looking for people deviating from how they normally play, which obviously you can't do here.

you can look at voting patterns and such, or look to see if people's arguments make sense as coming from a townie mindset, or etc. what you have listed makes a fair amount of sense but with some of that stuff (flip flopping accusations, for ex), i think you'd have to look at motivations, situation, and outcomes to really say if it's towny or scummy.

one other thing you can do is, instead of scumhunting, you can look for town and then just vote in the pool of people you have not identified as town.

Yeah I feel like in my game we didnt dig into motivations that much so I like that idea. And focusing on ID’ing town is smart too, thanks. Def expecting a challenge since idk you guys yet

Initial thoughts:

• Damo and rdr both felt town motivated for the no-nonsense way they entered the thread.
• I don't recall if I've ever seen scum Kak before, but the way he both sent songs and genuinely interacted with the thread felt towny.
• I like Bona so far.
• I'm curious as to what conclusions Bozo draws from talking to Bona and I about our pre-game interactions.

Thoughts on bo's strange post?

My only real thought on ghug at the moment is the conscious awareness that he's hasn't generated many other thoughts. It's certainly possible that this is a deliberate move to avoid attention but my initial thought is that he is away for some out of game NAI reason, even scum ghug tends to post way more than current ghug.

I'm not a fan of Chaqa's vote on Damo. Damo had made one post at the time and I liked it so I'm not sure why Chaqa voted him. That said, I want to here Chaqa's explanation before passing judgement.

I have no thoughts on Bo's strange post besides the ever unappealing speculation about whether deliberate lack of engagement makes someone more likely to be scum.

As for you I'm torn. On some objective level, the way that you've been asking people questions and creating information are some of the most pro-town actions so far this game. At the same time, I'm getting mixed bungo vibes. I think it's partially that I'm not a fan narrative that shitposting Bona=scum bona, but it's a justifiable take.

My current favorite wagon is probably Chaqa, but let's ##vote ghug for ties. That said, I can see from the post count that he's posted recently so I should probably catch up.
