Assuming patient zero = traitor, Nephthys said in the sign-up thread that the rest of the mafia know who it is. It's post 11 of that thread.

That sounds like a different role, what makes you think this answer about the traitor applies to patient zero?

In the sign-up thread, Venca asked "Do the remaining scum know the identity of the traitor?" and Nephthys said "Yes." Based on the setup info on that post, I don't see what other role Vecna could have be referring to as the traitor there besides the mafia alignment cop, which was later named patient zero in the second post of this thread.

And then to check if I was understanding correctly, a google search brought me to this page:

where the role description is "The Traitor is aligned with and win with the mafia team, but is not joined up with them (i.e. does not know who they are and cannot communicate with them)." I don't know if the patient zero role in this game is different from a typical traitor, but this was enough to convince me that's what Vecna was talking about. Do you think differently?

Ummm...no? Lurkers tend to be PRs as often as scum. I've only played 5ish games, but I've hated every time we lynched a lurker early. And it bit us in the a$$ more often than not.

FWIW... if you focused on lurkers specifically, these were possibilities:

M53 would've had a chance at 3/4 of the scum
M52 would've had a chance at 2/4 of the scum
M51 would've had a chance 3/6 of the scum
M50 would've had a chance at 4/8 of the scum

So honestly looking at lurkers only isn't a bad idea...

I am hearing alot of talk about this patient 0 traitor thing. and I havent seen anything conclusive about it. What I have seen is 3 players lurking who Id like to lynch.

That and the obvious focus of some people trying to find the one isolated scum is interesting. I am more inclined to think one of those people are scum and attempting to communicate.

Why scum will try to communicate with the traitor? What's the point?

I know you asked bunny. and ill just say I know Balki does things like this a lot. and theres usually a purpose. I guess he cant fully explain the purpose yet, but I have some belief there may be a pro town angle to faking being a traitor role.

or it might just be a really stupid idea on his part and it accomplished nothing.

I could show you a historical precedent of balki doing weird stuff, fake claiming, using the setup early to lay traps ect
But yea its messing around. I dont think balki is scum here. I dont understand the goal however. or who he intends to catch

In this case, it's fine, because I want BunnyGo's perspective as a newish player who hasn't interacted with Balki before. But in general, can we not answer other people's questions? This is rampant here.
