The Cop can pretty much only be one of three people.
It isn't me
I think they should claim everything, and town can just clean this up and win.

I suppose you didn't "say" you were excited, but you expressed excitement strongly.Hamilton Brian wrote: ↑Tue Apr 30, 2024 7:46 pmI think my strategy for D1 is to watch how the day ends. I haven't read anything closely enough to warrant throwing an opinion at the wall. I can't check the mafiabot here at work so when I last looked I thought I saw you in the lead.sweetandcool wrote: ↑Tue Apr 30, 2024 7:36 pmYo, Ham sandwich, how are you? What's your strat for D1? I'd normally advise you to stay quiet since you always get voted D1, but since participation this game has been particularly flaccid, why not give us all some hot hot takes.Hamilton Brian wrote: ↑Tue Apr 30, 2024 7:35 pmCan I sell my unused posts to posters in danger of surpassing the cap? Kind of like the carbon credits?
I really like the notion of no nightchat. To be able to go back and process the day, track the voting, and develop some hypotheses/accusations/suspicions without the additional noise of night posting is a blessing for me. Maybe I can be on the right side of solving one of these things for once.
It's actually why I've Town read you for most of the game. I would not expect you to be excited after rolling Mafia yet again.

Can it be as simple as Just and Bona bussing one another on D1 for the "lulz?"

I disagree with what you read into my words. No matter though; I have barely played since things have been super busy for me here. So even me wanting to have that Night time to do some investigation without distraction from the game didn't pan out.sweetandcool wrote: ↑Thu May 16, 2024 10:48 pm

Rereading bona's D5, they really went after sweet without considering vecna. Why was that?
My thinking is, if bona were mafia, to at least get back in later on to put a vote on Vecna.
To remain on sweet kind of looks like "dumb, stubborn town-play" because town is generally dumb and mistake-prone. So does such a move still give mafia!bona credibility?

You are forgetting that Bona is likely our Clerk.Hamilton Brian wrote: ↑Thu May 16, 2024 11:09 pmRereading bona's D5, they really went after sweet without considering vecna. Why was that?

But also, I think Bona was being authentic. At one point I was worried he was Clerk and I was Miller.
Now I assume he was playing lazy like that as a way to be under the radar. Which worked brilliantly.

If that was also insinuated within the thread, and I think it was but I definitely don't remember, then how would bona have avoided being the night kill?

What do you mean? I am not surprised that given Bona's play he has not been the NK.Hamilton Brian wrote: ↑Thu May 16, 2024 11:42 pmAnd why again is bona likely the clerk?sweetandcool wrote: ↑Thu May 16, 2024 11:36 pmYou are forgetting that Bona is likely our Clerk.Hamilton Brian wrote: ↑Thu May 16, 2024 11:09 pmRereading bona's D5, they really went after sweet without considering vecna. The only mystery really is why he didn't CC anyone.

I still haven't ruled out others as well. I haven't had a chance to really figure it out. Wouldn't be surprised if Jamiet was lying and just has nothing to give us, or even possibly Bozo.sweetandcool wrote: ↑Thu May 16, 2024 11:45 pmWhat do you mean? Re: Mafia 88: Murder at the Meadery - GAME THREAD
Bona's most interesting post was their take on the D1 wagons. Kind of all over the place with reads the remaining days.
Would vecna, as mafia, call out their scum partner for "powerwolfing?"
Maybe? Have you, sweet, intentionally gotten your teammates killed and gained some longevity by making up the crumbs you saw and getting "lucky?"

But probably a horrible Mafia play since the risk of getting CC would be pretty high.

Maybe. If I were cop it probably would have compelled me to scan you last night or the night before.

Re: Mafia 88: Murder at the Meadery - GAME THREAD
Exactly. Maybe it would be a reasonable suspicion if there were two Mafia left, and I sacrifice myself to push them to the end, but given the high likelihood of getting scanned I think that play is impossible.Hamilton Brian wrote: ↑Fri May 17, 2024 12:07 amMaybe. No, for all intents and purposes O should probably be considered townclear.

Re: Mafia 88: Murder at the Meadery - GAME THREAD
Ham, I really appreciate you trying to solve the game.
Unfortunately, I can only consider you and Pirate as the final scum, I've just been over it over and over and that's where I am stuck.
If you can build a case on Jamiet, Bozo, or Pirate then I would appreciate it. Maybe you will find something that I have missed. Something I've failed to consider or misinterpreted.

Best I can posit right now will be based on VCA. Let me see how quickly I can do that.
But also consider...how much speculation have either of jamie or bozo been under? What have they done that is so hardtown?

Sparta's and my own hypo scans support the theory that Bozo is Town.
Jamiet probably would have killed me if he was Mafia. He also has been authentically Town Jamiet in a way that is hard to fake.

Re: Mafia 88: Murder at the Meadery - GAME THREAD
Votes as presented at EOD and not tracked as they happened?
Day 1
Just: sweet, bona, rivera, king, worcej, bunny, ghug
damo: sparta, balki, hamilton
bona: just, jamie, vecna
sparta: brain, bozo, food
sweet: damo
Day 2 This one had some late votes that weren’t counted
lord: jamie, king, sweet, sparta, hamilton
bozo: rivera, ghug, bunny, damo, worcej
sweet: bona, lord, vecna
vecna: balki
worcej: bozo
That bozo gave an uncounted vote for lord; was that to ensure the kill , self-preservation, or what?
Day 3:
lord: sparta, damo, hamilton, sweet, bunny
hamilton: worcej, bona, lord, king
bozo: balki, jamie
worcej: vecna, bozo
Day 4:
worcej: hamilton, king, sweet, jamie, balki, sparta, worcej
sweet: rivera/diplomacy, vecna, bona, bunny
bona: bozo
Day 5: 2nd vote-out of mafia
vecna: sweet, jamie, king, balki, bozo, hamilton, bunny, rivera/diplomacy
sweet: bona, vecna
Day 6: 3rd vote-out of mafia
rivera/diplomacy: balki, sweet, jamie, king, bozo, hamilton
Non-vote is bona; where are they?
And yes, I made myself blue as town since I know I am.

Explain how those hyposcans support the theory that bozo is town? No one writes them with any certainty.sweetandcool wrote: ↑Fri May 17, 2024 12:31 amBozo has been under a ton of scrutiny.Hamilton Brian wrote: ↑Fri May 17, 2024 12:26 amBest I can posit right now will be based on VCA.
