I've been thinking more about Night 1.

Clearly the DL kill was PR hunting, so presumably my roleblock was as well, but I can't for the life of me figure out why scum would think I was a PR. I'm pretty sure anyone who has played with me enough (Durga, ghug, kgray, Bozo, Bona, lots more) would not think I'm a PR based off of my Day 1, and also would likely want to not give me any quasi-town clear (despite the natural suspicion that a roleblock brings being a competing theory in my head canon) so that I can be miskilled later.

This makes me wonder if the scum team is composed of players who are either new, returning, or semi-regulars.

I'm thinking a team made of players like BusinessLamp, celaph, HR, TFB, Donny, etc.

Not sure if I'm reading too much into it.

Doesn't this theory require that either there are no veteran, active players on the scum team or that the veteran player(s) on the scum team don't overrule the new, returning, or semi-regulars, as you say? I feel like if Durga, ghug, or kgray, or players of that sort were on the scum team, they would assert themselves a little bit more in the discussions of who to role block and who to kill rather than let the less experienced dictate the decision.

The vote I took the most issue with was RHK's, though now I townread him for other reasons.

Yes, going back to read the wagonomics thing it did seem weird and a bit forced and seemed almost a bit like scum!bona trying to be town!bona but prior in the day he said he would only vote for Ghug, me, Llama, celaph, and Flum, and I think elsewhere he stated I was his favorite wagon.

Speaking of things I saw when rereading bona, where is the vca you promised? It seems you have been spending a lot of time taking potshots but not a bunch of time making that.

What seems scummy to me is how long his meme phase continued on D1, some tonal oddness at EOD with the wagonomics things (though I think ghug is overreacting in part there), lack of D2 analysis beyond some easy potshots and tunnels on easy targets, lack of promised vca.

You asked why scum is less likely to follow through on promises than town? I think it varies on context. I think what makes it make sense here is that in D1, Bona was called out for being very fluffy in terms of posts and more just dropping disses than actually staking original positions. It makes sense for him if he wanted to avoid heat to suggest he would give in-depth analysis later. I think most people would believe that and move on to other targets they would rather see gone and have less faith of future improvement from.

As to why bona wouldn't deliver as scum? If he found it hard to spin a compelling VCA that didn't implicate people he didn't want to bus or if he thought with the pressure off of him he could get away with just tunneling me and celaph and getting away with creating another miskill without having to put in the work of spinning a VCA that he needed to forge to protect those he wanted to protect.

I feel like your read of blamp is rather quickly trending scum and it's not clear why to me. What specifically do you dislike about this post? I think he has correctly identified that TFB is really hesitant in being willing to give him towncred and is asking questions to figure out if TFB is doing so as a misguided towny or as scum. That all is good towny behavior.

I think you misunderstood my point. The odds of there being ZERO veterans on a given scum team are EXCEEDINGLY low. I don't want to do combinatorics again because I just had a long code review at work and I am drained mentally, but yeah, I just don't think Chaqa's argument (neither his assumptions nor conclusions for that matter) makes any sense.
