Re: M69: Trapped in the Chipotle R&D Lab [HIDDEN]
I have a theory. I think you're all deep learning bots building on top of the first take anyone puts in the game, and snowball it to exponential explosions.
I suppose there's a certain irony to going to sleep accusing you all of not asking questions, and waking up to the same.
There is much greater value in asking about someone's denial of another read. I've been trying to teach (some) of you how to think past surface level thoughts to extract value in people's posts, and it usually boils down to understanding the state of mind from which certain posts can be made.
In this particular, anyone can "feel" a person is scummy or towny, that is natural. But it is important to remember that nobody (but scum) knows with certainty to be true, so you need several additional degrees of confidence (which is still not much) to reject someone else's opinion on a matter, and so early on when there is the least information the thoughts of someone trying to negate another's reads is much more meaningful than someone presenting their own thoughts.
That being said, it's difficult to parse these from people who are just inexplicably confident, but I don't have a problem with what Bona had to say.

I actually town read worcej, but there's little value in questioning early scum reads. It usually just amounts to "I don't like something."celaph wrote: ↑Tue Aug 03, 2021 9:52 amSnowy! Why did you question Bona's disagreement, but not Vecna's original comment? Does anything in worcej's comments seem scummy to you?snowy801 wrote: ↑Mon Aug 02, 2021 11:43 pmAt this time I note Jamiet has left without stating his reason for scum reading ghug. A convenient timing? Time will tell.
Bona! On what grounds would you state that worcej's few initial posting does not already feel scummy? Does any of his comments stand out as towny to you?

Re: M69: Trapped in the Chipotle R&D Lab [HIDDEN]
Maniac is lurky in general and made a wild, antitown play when he was a PR last time I played with him, so the expected value of killing him is higher than killing, say, Vecna.
I do not currently scumread anyone. Nor do I have any strong townleans. I would normally townlean celaph here but I’m trying to avoid making an error I usually do that “towny looking content = town” as I just got destroyed in an MU game making that assumption (as I get destroyed here on WD making that assumption also).
Re: M69: Trapped in the Chipotle R&D Lab [HIDDEN]
I do want to ask that while asking private questions to the GM is fine, if you ask with the intent of revealing the answer to town you simply ask publicly as there is no reason for anyone to trust that 3P win excludes town win based on what you (bozo in this case) said.

I found it rather funny that it was used for shitposting.

As I catch up, I'm going to bet that bozo at some point is going to flip the switch to 'hey, we should just claim items guys.'bozotheclown wrote: ↑Mon Aug 02, 2021 11:25 pmI do not think it is advantageous to town to mass claim yet, but mass claiming items would narrow the mafia pool to 11, the 3P pool to 10, and it seems the 3P can't win until N6.worcej wrote: ↑Mon Aug 02, 2021 10:57 pmI'd throw out you not pushing for claims is indicative of you being mafia.bozotheclown wrote: ↑Mon Aug 02, 2021 10:27 pm

@Bob
Three times you mentioned Kakarotto is "cool", with no ostensible reason to do so. What makes him so cool in your books?

Re: M69: Trapped in the Chipotle R&D Lab [HIDDEN]
Giving away an item happens at the end of the day, following the daykill, so this would not work.Vecna wrote: ↑Tue Aug 03, 2021 8:50 am##call GM
Are there any restrictions on items being given away during the dayphase?
If the answer is no, any town that is about to be misskilled should probably (secretly) give away their items to their biggest or 2nd biggest townread, so they dont randomly end up in scum/3p's hands for being on the wagon.
Annoyingly this probably also means that scum will just be able to give their items to their teammates just before dying. (Does this also fuck with the massclaim? probably?)
Re: M69: Trapped in the Chipotle R&D Lab [HIDDEN]
Elaborate. Super curious what is different with this shitpost to warrant a scum vibe when you usually town me with my shitposts.Vecna wrote: ↑Mon Aug 02, 2021 11:33 pmWorcej already feeling pretty scummy with just his few initial posting.worcej wrote: ↑Mon Aug 02, 2021 10:58 pmWHERE ARE YOU HIDING JAMIE?!?!?!Jamiet99uk wrote: ↑Mon Aug 02, 2021 10:46 pmHello.
I am in London for three days of work related meetings so I'll mostly be checking in from my phone. I promise to contribute as much as I can, and to remain relatively civil and calm (for a given value of same).
WHO IS THIS IMPOSTER?!?!?!
Re: M69: Trapped in the Chipotle R&D Lab [HIDDEN]
in what way does his ruler of austria post not just scream cool at you? (to be fair it was written before role assignment)
kak is a cool dude
he does cool things and is fun
were keeping him for now
Re: M69: Trapped in the Chipotle R&D Lab [HIDDEN]
We should policy kill him if he did. Still haven't seen it yet.snowy801 wrote: ↑Tue Aug 03, 2021 2:13 pmWould you say it says anything about him, if he does?worcej wrote: ↑Tue Aug 03, 2021 2:12 pmAs I catch up, I'm going to bet that bozo at some point is going to flip the switch to 'hey, we should just claim items guys.'bozotheclown wrote: ↑Mon Aug 02, 2021 11:25 pm
I do not think it is advantageous to town to mass claim yet, but mass claiming items would narrow the mafia pool to 11, the 3P pool to 10, and it seems the 3P can't win until N6.
Context: I've been incredibly vocal of how it's annoying that almost every game bozo is in he finds a way to break the mechanics to afford a small increase in statistical odds of town at the cost of any advantage town has. It's NAI for him to push these ideas because usually mafia also benefit from it to.
Re: M69: Trapped in the Chipotle R&D Lab [HIDDEN]
actually we can probably be fairly confident bozo isnt 3p here
i doubt this kind of thought about massclaiming comes from chaqa!bozo

Re: M69: Trapped in the Chipotle R&D Lab [HIDDEN]
My thoughts on the massclaim was that the benefits of doing so were not obvious to me, and so it cannot possibly be obvious to anyone else.
Therefore, this person is not thinking, and typically people willing to spew wildly anti-town takes are typically town.

Can I be honest that you both seem to be over-reacting and I am leaning more towards theater than actual honest intent?

Re: M69: Trapped in the Chipotle R&D Lab [HIDDEN]
Joke alert:
So I had to call in a psychic to my house. Now, don't get me wrong, I'm not a huge believer in the paranormal. But this was just beyond me. My wife kept complaining that we were being haunted by the ghost of a chicken. Instead of the boos ordinarily attributed to ghosts, she said it would float around the house shrieking "buk-oo, buk-oo." So, I did my loving partner duty and called the psychic.
The report from the psychic was that we have a poultrygeist.
Ba-dum-bum!

It wasn't explicitly stated, but the 3P winning is indeed considered a loss for everyone else.
I didn't see the tiny text question, could you point me to it?
