They have a 7/20 chance of hitting scum N1 if we mislynch D1, and 6/20 if we lynch scum. I don't see why we woud want to remove that threat to scum and sacrifice one town with powers in the process. Also, Jack the Ripper wants Jekyll outed.

Why does Jack the Ripper want Dr. Jekyll outed? I think Jack the Ripper wants Mr. Hyde to kill as many players as possible.

Aren't there 22 players left after D1? If we mislynch D1, Mr. Hyde has a 14/21 chance of hitting town and 6/21 chance of hitting mafia, assuming a random selection. However, the problem is Mr. Hyde will be trying to kill a town, since he can win with the mafia or the SK, and he only needs to identify one town correctly to make sure he does not accidentally kill a mafia (or waste an attempt on the SK).

I thought I read somewhere that Hyde knew who Jekyll was, but I can't find it now. Hyde will try to kill town, but everyone is trying to look towny, so they may end up hitting a scum that has disguised themselves very well as town.

So you are correct, but it is the part about Mr. Hyde not being able to kill Dr. Jekyll that made me think he did not know Dr. Jekyll's identify, since this seems to defeat the requirement that Mr. Hyde can't withhold his NK. If Mr. Hyde want to withhold his NK, all he has to do is target Dr Jekyll.

Although this was not meant to be completely serious, it is based on rdrivera complaining that xorxes has been scum reading him recently when he was town.

Bozo... Why are you so very very very very interested in the 3p folk ? I understand it to some degree, but do an iso of yourself. You are a pretty heavy poster, and unless I missed something, you have referred to 3p in every post but three.

Maybe this doesn't matter, maybe town bozo would be just as focussed on 3p as scumbozo... But I think 3p are more a danger to scum than town. And you seem so very obsessed.

I did not consider the lynch, that would be interesting since it would allow Dr. Jekyll to override the lynch and deflect the lynch to the second largest wagon by waiting until EOD to pick a target.

Why would it deflect to the second largest wagon? That's not what happened last game when Flavius had a bulletproof vest that protected him from the lynch (he probably wore it around his neck).

Good point, either way it gives Dr. Jekyll a lot of power if the day protection does apply to the lynch.

I have been thinking about this for the last 10 minutes or so and I felt pretty good about Chaq's explanation until I ran across bozo's post saying Jekyll should claim (#61). Then I started to think that maybe this could be a ploy between scum teammates to throw us off in the early stages.

That would be some ballsy play from a scum!Chaqa. He's typically pretty cautious in games, bozo as well. Had it some other players this would be plausible, but considering characteristics of who is involved, doesn't feel like it. Not a bad idea though.

Fair enough! I still feel good about Chaqa's explanation, it feels legit and honest and I remember that bozo likes to push claims. Thanks for talking me down off the ledge lol

because I want to experience it as it was meant to be experienced, if I look at everything with hindsight I'll get confused and probably have zero clue on what is true or what to say about what. or i'll end up going down a rabbit hole, if I read each comment then I get to look at everything the best way
