further average jamie vs kak postingKakarroto wrote: ↑Tue Mar 14, 2023 1:30 pmwell, true, but from an informational standpoint, town stays practically the same after the role PM while Mafia gains a huge information boost. Maybe I'm doing it wrong and tend too much to a towns perspective in my first posts. But I guess that's just who I am. I know I have a town bias. Probably because I always want to be a good guy (which regarding game mechanic makes no sense, but regarding flavour it does).Jamiet99uk wrote: ↑Tue Mar 14, 2023 1:17 pmEveryone will be sorted into two or more factions, of which town is one.Kakarroto wrote: ↑Tue Mar 14, 2023 12:59 pm
It's guaranteed because I don't have any other information but the setting/flavour post from the GM? I'm surprised you question that part and not the "don't change them after I get that knowledge".
I don't assume, but before I get the information, I only have the viewpoint from a town player. Well maybe less from an information point since at that point I don't know what role I have but I know I'm a player in that game. The rest comes naturally. Maybe it's just subconscious because I like being town much more than being mafia (or 3rd party, I think), but even disregarding that, with no information, everyone is kinda town, aren't they? Since they don't get influenced by any special information they have.
Town is not neutral.
Also, come to think about it, even if I roll mafia, appearing guaranteed town with the first post also has it advantages. So I probably wont stop that. My honest advice to you all is to just take my first post as NAI and use other means to determine my alignment.

If you are TOWN you should not make all your posts in CODE. You should attempt to be understood instead of making the game HARDER for town.

koalers said he'd do this pre-game, so he's not town for itHamilton Brian wrote: ↑Tue Mar 14, 2023 6:26 pmQuick driveby post in between errands.
Seems like we, collectively, no absolutely nothing about the setup. Treat this like a very plain game with an assumption of 9 town and 3 mafia?
Day 1 votes are a mad scramble with no evidence to go on. A townsperson is usually killed. I suppose we reconcile ourselves to that.
I know I go after some (ghug immediately comes to mind) for stating something without some compelling reasons behind the statement. That drives me crazy. However, today, maybe that's the best. Assume we are all in the dark, but the less said about who to vote, the better.
Two to probably not vote out are Koala and Flum. Koala because they're probably town, given the current act. Flum because they might have something to share and I think we'd want that information but when it's given under duress or threat of execution, I think it's less valuable or reliable?
There's already a current of sowing distrust about certain players. There's already some interactions that raise an eyebrow. I don't think we should even throw about vibes lists. Don't say who is so hardtown-read. Keep mafia guessing when it comes time to make their kill. Let's not make their work easier.
That's my mental state around the game right now. I am sure my downtown walk will give me another piece of enlightenment. I'll take questions upon my return.
Play nice with one another.

t:> DEBUG: This is the correct interpretation.rdrivera2005 wrote: ↑Tue Mar 14, 2023 3:31 pmI think it's a bit natural to have Koala and Bona as top wagons after last game. Koala shenanigan isn't helping as it avoid people being able to use meta from last games on him. But he said he will do it before the game, so I consider this more annoying them scummy.Hamilton Brian wrote: ↑Tue Mar 14, 2023 1:58 pmGlad you asked.Kakarroto wrote: ↑Tue Mar 14, 2023 1:13 pmBut Hamilton, since you are here, what are your thoughts on:
-) Koala the smoking computer?
-) Bona the second highest wagon?
-) damo's single line postings?
We don't have much content right now, so I'd appreciate if your thoughts on that are a bit extended. Also if you have some questions, don't hesitate shoot.
1) I think Koala's posting is funny. But just. I think they're town, but the posting is anti-town in my opinion, because it's either distracting or confusing to the point of ignoring.
2) I'll chalk Bona as the 2nd highest wagon up to just "Day 1" settling. I think I've learned not to read too much into what happens the first day.
3) Hadn't considered much about Damo's posting. Should I? Is there something standing out about it to you?
Also this from last game

It's not the he really got offended by BK, but he is the kind of people who is very strict with things: "I said I will vote anyone cussing me so I will even if it was a joke".

Dear valued KoalaRobotics customer, please accept our sinceres apologies. Cylon Model 777 the "KirbyKoala" did not have a good data-set of playing too many games with brainbomb except the last one. They ML models do their best, but it takes time to calibrate like your Netflix.Kakarroto wrote: ↑Tue Mar 14, 2023 12:42 pmalso his brainbomb impression is extremely lacking. Brain would've posted more and brought out theories and tried to make people react. Instead Koala talks about brains birthday that just happened (on that note: happy birthday again, dear brainbomb) but not much more. I don't like it, feels too much like a smokescreen to hide behind.
t:> DEBUG: also, computer has to work IRL, very busy day and didn't have time to post more brainbomb things since last night

t>: RETURN: Nope, not going to do it. Keeping my "meta" of always following through on actions as promised is more important to me than the outcome of this game.
And in case I get voted for it: Once I flip town, ask "why would a Townie force another Townie to break their word or suicide?" to consider the alignment of the folks calling for it.
Having good in-case-of-death messages are a good part of my poor impersonation of brainbomb.
