Good catch. Squiggs said he didn’t believe in town and scumslips, right?sweetandcool wrote: ↑Thu Jun 06, 2024 2:43 pmI think food may be scum. But that obviously wasn't a scumslip.
Very suspicious you suddenly believe in scumslips.

Re: M89: Baldurs Gate Mafia Game Thread
From a meta perspective it makes no sense whatsoever. Why would mafia shoot a town player who was getting wagoned?

Hey i felt good about dip before it was coolBalki Bartokomous wrote: ↑Thu Jun 06, 2024 2:54 pmI feel better about Dip with his push on me, for the record.
Re: M89: Baldurs Gate Mafia Game Thread
But wouldn't it be more beneficial to let town drive a MK on damo plus use their shot to hunt PRs or take out a safe townie? Especially since they have a second shot which they would also have to disguise as townie for a claim to work
Re: M89: Baldurs Gate Mafia Game Thread
So there was something that happened D1 that prickled my nethers and not in a good way.
While I was pushing various wagons to try and get any kind of movement going, I landed on flum. At that time, Flav was on flum, and I felt like Flav immediately started to panic and try to explain a vote no one asked for explanation on.
Real "WHY ARE YOU VOTING HERE THIS IS THE ONLY REASON I AM HERE" vibes. Like getting caught on your scumbuddy vibes. Which now makes sense if it was a scum being pushed up to a TvT

So they can claim vig later. If they shot someone who was clearly town, we’d all know it was a mafia vig. But them shooting Damo in these circumstances doesn’t make sense to me vibe wise. A fake cleared mafia signs worth way more to mafia than a random shot a PR.DiplomacyandWarfare wrote: ↑Thu Jun 06, 2024 3:05 pmFrom a meta perspective it makes no sense whatsoever. Re: M89: Baldurs Gate Mafia Game Thread
what was the alignment split? why arent you suspicious it comes from a scum balki conforming to easy patterns?Foxcastle wrote: ↑Thu Jun 06, 2024 2:41 amWhile Balki is just one vote on me, I'm taking my time to lay this out because Balki has a long history of railroading me. He scumreads me almost every time, he has never actually townread me, and he has been wrong every fucking time except one. So it's disappointing to see that he has learned nothing and is back for yet another round of "scumread Fox no matter what."
NB: I've snipped several quotes from previous games to keep this focused.
M34 - Balki is sure I'm scum (hooker, to be specific). I survive to the end of game to win as town: https://mafia.peterlund.se/m34/game_status.html
Balki Bartokomous wrote: ↑Fri Feb 09, 2018 10:26 pmFoxy is Hooker. He is. I can feel it in my bones.mM36 - Balki reads me as town conditional on another player's alignment.Balki Bartokomous wrote: ↑Fri Feb 09, 2018 10:42 pmI’d order the lynch priority like this: Foxy, Flum, Vashta, rdrivera. Obviously cop scans can change that.
See the whole thing here: http://mafia.peterlund.se/e/web/msgs?user=Balki*&word=Fox*&g=36Balki Bartokomous wrote: ↑Thu May 17, 2018 8:22 pmI wouldn't lynch Foxcastle today, because the read is entirely derivative of RagingIke's alignment. But if it turns out that RagingIke is Town, then Flxcastle is probably scum.
M1006 - Balki scumreads me. And I'm scum! But it's the exact same thing he says about me every time.
M46 Balki is scum, and he scum reads me. I flip town. But it's the same shit.Balki Bartokomous wrote: ↑Thu Dec 06, 2018 11:38 pmI mean...what did he even just say? Like, nothing. Nothing!
But he wrote a whole bunch of words, and he wrote about people who voted for other people so...so what?
EFFORT TO BLEND!
More Nothingness! Empty Void!
Kind of like a big, long, empty FOXHOLE!
Foxcastle is not content to be seen as doing nothing. He is putting in effort to be seen as doing something that looks vaguely like scum hunting. He's just not doing a great job at manufacturing a real process.
M54 Balki scum reads me. I flip town.Balki Bartokomous wrote: ↑Fri Jun 07, 2019 1:54 am##vote Foxcastle
That's where my head is right now. Though, I am not at all confident. And I have not ISOed Fox, and I need to do that. But here are the impressions in my mind:
Fox has been sitting back, cracking jokes all the time, super chill. He has sprinkled in comments. He's been around. But he has not been taking stands. Most of his reads have been about gathering information or enforcing policies. He has not taken a stand on anything likely to get pushback. He has not made any scumread on an experienced player who would put him in the spotlight.
He's playing to avoid confrontation.
I made a similar read on him for similar reasons the last time we played together, and I was right at that time. I feel like he may be scum again here.
http://mafia.peterlund.se/e/web/msgs?user=Balki*&word=Fox*&g=54
BALKI AND I HAVE PLAYED 5 GAMES TOGETHER. HE HAS NEVER TOWN READ ME. HE HAS CORRECTLY SCUMREAD ME ONE TIME.
HE HAS CONSISTENTLY USED THE SAME ARGUMENTS AGAINST ME THAT HE'S USING HERE. AND HE HAS BEEN WRONG EVERY TIME EXCEPT ONCE.
relatively often when people bite back with "you were wrong this often in the past" without considering alignment of the current push its defensive scum failing the TMI clause.

Re: M89: Baldurs Gate Mafia Game Thread
That makes little to no sense. Anyways, as I was posting about before I noticed damo had been vigged, PRs revealing is a bad idea.Yoyoyozo wrote: ↑Thu Jun 06, 2024 3:09 pmSo they can claim vig later. Re: M89: Baldurs Gate Mafia Game Thread
Yeah but the question was damo is town and Y is scum. If damo was using the knowledge he was town, then it becomes 5/23. I find pushing damo on minor math details can be helpful for telling his alignment but the vig got in the way of that unfortunatelyDiplomacyandWarfare wrote: ↑Thu Jun 06, 2024 2:57 pmThat would be approximately the chance of a random person being scum.aarodactyl wrote: ↑Thu Jun 06, 2024 2:56 pmCan you show your work here? I have no idea how the math checks out

I don’t think we need to analyze this unless and until somebody claims this shot and explains why they took it, right?

If I put the tinfoil hat on, the WOOO post was faked to get Damo killed. But no, realistically I have to start over now.

The big thing we just learned is that Day 1 was very Low Hanging Town Fruit vs Low Hanging Town Fruit.

Yes, it was cognitive dissonance that was concerning.

Demon just townslipped because he doesn’t know how many wolves there are!
Re: M89: Baldurs Gate Mafia Game Thread
Why would they shoot Damo if he was likely to be miskilled anyway? I don't understand your point about max players?
Re: M89: Baldurs Gate Mafia Game Thread
did you already feel this way during d1? when/where did you start feeling this way?
