The simplest explanation is that emc was the third part faction, and now everyone is town or mafia. If so, there are probably 4 or 5 mafia.

I think there is a reasonable chance Sarah is scum because she is showing little interest in solving the game, if not, she is a town liability.

I agree with this 100%. However, even if she is scum, she is not the only one. Surely there are other people you think could be scum?

Yes, but I do not know who they are. When no one stands out as a scum suspect, I try to narrow down the scum possibilities by POE. First, I am assuming for now that the claims are real, if not they can be sorted later. Of the remaining players, the following seem most likely to be town to me: Foxcastle, kgray, Nephthys, rdrivera, TheMarche, summit_fever, and xorxes. That leaves BismarckAlive, damo, dargorygel, DemonRHK, flash, SarahK24, and Vecna as my top scum suspects.

I am far too scarred from my first game to accept "POE" as a valid excuse for a scumread.... But I do get that it's early in this game and I'll grant it can be a useful tool.

Still, do you have no instincts about who is more likely to be scum from that second list? Any gut feeling, or a weird post or anything?

I already explained that in my response to kgray. dargorygel has not done much to make me think he is likely town.

I'm reading his scum deduction list that way.ostly because he provides no real bozo data for his townies.

The difference is, you usually do, and aren't.

Was just thinking about the whole Donny role speculation.

Who would benefit more from obscuring it with their powers at Donny's lynch? Islanders, or Enemies?

Logic would tell me that us Islanders are worse off, because we can't 100% use all Donny's interactions as sure-tells about Donny's accomplices if he is Enemy, or his Enemies if he was Islander.

So that is why I am leaning to thinking Donny was Enemy. I can't see any reason why an Islander would obscure the lynch target's role - whether Donny was Islander or Enemy, what was important was WHAT HE WAS, not whether he was one or the other.

Hmm, logical but simple. occam's razer or just one dimensional?
