There was this small tinge of how defensive he was to his early pressure, and seemed to have way too strong reads while trying to defend against his wagon.
It all felt a bit artificial.
Disclaimer; I dont have strong confidence in any of this. Might just be that he's a PR or w/e panicking.
If I was a scum i definately wouldve given him a nice gasoline shower.

But Dip's style is to be scum this way. Like do bizarre pointless things that are NAI, but really goofy, or even scummy but bizarrely scummy in a way no scum would play.
That's his scumstyle, and I am going to riot if he gets away with it again.

Dip is weird but he was way weirder last game

I remember distinctly last game, you made the point that outside of Mafia, there is evidence that he is not nearly this wacky. Like you totally slam dunked him and then you forgot about it or something.
Now he is doing it again, and you're saying he was more wacky.
The only difference I see is that he has spent some sane talk on mechs, but I think that's just a tiny twist on the same exact thing.

No I didnt “have” him at all. I was masterclassed by him

btw, has someone done some math already on the massclaim?
This seems like the type of setup where after 1 night of results and with only a dead VT it might go places.

Yeah the more I see from D&W the more it looks like his scum game from last time.sweetandcool wrote: ↑Sat Apr 06, 2024 12:44 amI remember distinctly last game, you made the point that outside of Mafia, there is evidence that he is not nearly this wacky. Would definitely get on that wagon today.

Obviously I was just an observer and you know your own true thoughts and feelings but this is what you said about Diplomacy last game.
brainbomb: "whats really funny is, youve been getting basic facts wrong all game, and remembering details completely incorrect. Meanwhile you are running an rpg on this forum where you have to read the players posts in order to come up with what actions they took, and it involves actually reading, and interpreting sometimes totally bonkers role playing.
yet here somehow you cant even remember correctly who instigated a fight, or what role people have claimed or what the setup roles entail - despite asking about them in pregame and getting an exact answer.
Yes, D&W is mafia. and his teammate is probably bunny here"
As an observer, two things prevented you from catching Diplomacy, despite totally dunking on them in this post:
1. You felt like the Kak - Dip hellbuss was too absurd/outlandish
and more importantly
2. You were obsessed with the notion that Bunny/worcej was Mafia, and there definitely were some emotions involved here.
---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Sure, in this game Diplomacy is not being as absurd, and has even put forth a decent few lucid posts, but all the oddities we have seen so far in this game is symptomatic of him playing scum the same exact way, just with a small twist to it.
It's working in the same exact way. People who are not scum reading him essentially are like "na, that's too weird to be scum, or at least alignment indicative".
I don't understand how people have such a blind spot for this behavior. But we're running into the third game in a row where apparently such play has been proven to be totally ironclad.

You're so unpressured this game I'm worried I'm wrong about Dip. Or at least that he's not on your team (which is an okay scenario of course).
Re: Mafia 87: Madness in Mega-City One - GAME THREAD
Good analysis.
now analyse will in that same lens, recalling his scumgame in a good faith attempt.
im very curious what distinctions there are in your opinion.
