Why? Just because they were on the wagon or because one/some of them are particularly suspicious to you?Hamilton Brian wrote: ↑Sat Nov 28, 2020 4:35 pmAnd it wouldn't be the worst thing to flip one of the ND voters D2.

Re: M62: PEOPLE'S DEMOCRATIC REPUBLIC OF REVOLUTIONARY MAFIA GAME THREAD!
I'm sorry, would you prefer I declare at the beginning of the day who I will be voting for and restrict myself to only voting that person? Should I not be open about who I'm scumreading and would vote for? Should I ignore what the wagons look like when voting?bozotheclown wrote: ↑Sat Nov 28, 2020 5:16 pm
Here kgray explains why she is voting for teacon over ND, but she was still hedging, giving her the option of moving to ND. When she did move from teacon to ND, she inserted a short push on BunnyGo that was unlikely to go anywhere, which is a classic scum move to obscure a significant vote change.
The only thing I questioned previously was that emc claimed he had not played with kgray recently, and kgray did not point out that they were both in M60 and M59 (although emc was a sub in those games).
emc and I didn't interact much in either of those games so that's not really relevant to his opinion of how likely I am to tease people.

Re: M62: PEOPLE'S DEMOCRATIC REPUBLIC OF REVOLUTIONARY MAFIA GAME THREAD!
Why don't you understand that people can have multiple options they'd be happy with? There were reasons I preferred ND over teacon and there were reasons I preferred teacon over ND. I made my reasons for scumreading each of them clear. There were two events that happened near EOD that pushed ND over teacon, but that doesn't mean they're the only reasons I preferred him.bozotheclown wrote: ↑Sat Nov 28, 2020 5:36 pmI have read the game. BunnyGo's post does not explain why you listed 3 things that did not change as explanations. Why did you not like BunnyGo saying he was happy with his vote, when he gave the same reason for voting for teacon that you did?kgray wrote: ↑Sat Nov 28, 2020 4:35 pmHave you read the game or just EOD? Also I specifically said Bunny’s “happy with where my vote is” post before leaving was extra scummy imo, so vecna’s comment wasn’t the only thing that changed.bozotheclown wrote: ↑Sat Nov 28, 2020 10:11 am
BunnyGo was already voting for teacon when you voted for teacon, and the other things except what Vecna said seems like they would have been true when you voted for teacon.
Also, the 7 minute push on BunnyGo between taking teacon out of the lead and putting ND in the lead looks suspicious.
And I didn't like Bunny saying he was happy with where his vote was and leaving. He did that last game as scum when he didn't think we could change the vote so I think he did it as scum in this game because he didn't care which wagon died.
Re: M62: PEOPLE'S DEMOCRATIC REPUBLIC OF REVOLUTIONARY MAFIA GAME THREAD!
Kgray, did you feel there was unnaturally much resistance against the Neph wagon/scum case? Compared to HR's EMC case for example.

No. My memory of that process was that I saw ties at 4 or 5 each and I had a stronger townread of Teacon than ND. WHich will make me look like absolute shit if Teacon does flip scum.bozotheclown wrote: ↑Sat Nov 28, 2020 5:32 pm

Hamilton put out an explanation (2361/119) in which he said that he did not want to hop on the ND wagon, but he then voted ND because he was a greater distraction to town. This is possible, but I'd be interested to hear why he thought teacon and maniac were not worth the vote.kgray wrote: ↑Sat Nov 28, 2020 5:16 pmThat close to EOD it doesn’t bother me (realizing I’m one of the people who did this). People should be able to elaborate more after the deadline, and especially if it’s a surprising vote that wasn’t expected based on previous reads. Do any of those votes fit that category for you that you want more explanation on?Bonatogether wrote: ↑Sat Nov 28, 2020 4:26 pmNot even a quick post as to why they were voting? You posted something (2404, 121), but was a total hedge in which you stated you had reasons for suspecting town and scum on both. You also said there were two events near EoD that decided your vote - what were these? but you also said that you had other reasons - such as? The whole thing says nothing.

If teacon does flip town at some point, this post should reflect pretty decently on HBHamilton Brian wrote: ↑Sat Nov 28, 2020 6:25 pmNo. My memory of that process was that I saw ties at 4 or 5 each and I had a stronger townread of Teacon than ND. Re: M62: PEOPLE'S DEMOCRATIC REPUBLIC OF REVOLUTIONARY MAFIA GAME THREAD!
I still don't really understand why people felt anything about teacon.
Re: M62: PEOPLE'S DEMOCRATIC REPUBLIC OF REVOLUTIONARY MAFIA GAME THREAD!
Hmm. Balki and ghug fought me on that read and I don't think either ever explained why they think he's town. They both just asked me why I thought he was scum and picked at some details of my reasons but ignored my main point that I don't think Neph was trying to figure out about ND's motivations. So yeah, I can see some resistance there, or at least a lack of interest in digging deeper, but I don't know if it's unnatural. The three of them have had too many interactions with each other for me to think it's likely that they're all scum.
Who else do you think resisted the Neph wagon/case?

Re: M62: PEOPLE'S DEMOCRATIC REPUBLIC OF REVOLUTIONARY MAFIA GAME THREAD!
I had been townreading Teacon. They weren't a viable candidate for me. Maniac, who I had been on before my Yoyo vote, also hadn't seemed to have garnered that much attention when I went to change my vote. So it really was between ND and Teacon for me. I was very surprised when I checked the bot after my final vote to see the number that came up for Maniac.Bonatogether wrote: ↑Sat Nov 28, 2020 6:26 pm

For me, It is a pretty solitary thing that they said regarding toxicity and township. Of course, scum would be perfectly capable of offering a statement like that then covertly stir shit up to sow dissension and confusion.
Re: M62: PEOPLE'S DEMOCRATIC REPUBLIC OF REVOLUTIONARY MAFIA GAME THREAD!
I think I have now explained in detail my reasons for scumreading teacon and ND and why I went with ND over teacon. It will show up in my ISO on the bot, both before EOD and in response to HR and bozo questioning me tonight. If you have any more questions, let me know.Bonatogether wrote: ↑Sat Nov 28, 2020 6:26 pmHamilton put out an explanation (2361/119) in which he said that he did not want to hop on the ND wagon, but he then voted ND because he was a greater distraction to town. As an aside, if what I was doing is considered hedging, then I'm changing my mind about hedging being scummy. The fact that people think it's suspicious that I had reasons for both teacon and ND and was thinking through my decision is astounding.

@Jamie, why did you feel that jumping on ND was the best place to land?
@brainbomb, when you do resurface, care to explain your rationale?

I think they're scummy. I had a clear reason yesterday but it's all hazed up. They and Flum.
Re: M62: PEOPLE'S DEMOCRATIC REPUBLIC OF REVOLUTIONARY MAFIA GAME THREAD!
I don't really like the argument (bo dropped out because he's a terrible person and that's it. I hope whatever is going on is causing him pain.), but it doesn't seem that uncharacteristic for teacon to think it.
Re: M62: PEOPLE'S DEMOCRATIC REPUBLIC OF REVOLUTIONARY MAFIA GAME THREAD!
RIP ND. This is why we can't have nice things.
