OK, question for the group – typically, in Mafia teams you have observed before do they more frequently

(A) follow a uniform strategy – "let's all lurk", "let's all be active", "let's all push for Plan X", etc.

OR

(B) tend to adopt different styles – one lurks, one logic-reasons, one attacks or plays aggressive mind-games

???

As both Balki and Bozo have said this is more style driven than team decision although somebody miht say in night chat "I'm gonna lie low 2m" or "I think I need to be more active".

However on a law of averages type thing it tends to be B.

So, given lfischl was a lowish poster I reckon we have a reasonable active and a low lie[a]r left.

Now having said for a while now Bozo/Chaqa Balki/Bo fits. Aaaaarrrggghhh!

Lfischl is the lowest poster of the day for the second day in a row and the only player that has tried to do anything at all about that is me, and that's after playing a game where he lurked until the very end and snuck through because the tiebreaking town vote didn't want to ask him any questions.

This post was somewhat randomly placed in the middle of D2 (in that no one appeared to be talking about lfischl at the time), and bo_sox did not vote for lfischl on D2.

I agree with what Bozo says here about this Bo post.

My conclusion from this is that Bo’s post looks very much like a “distancing post.” Meaning that Bo is trying to put something in the thread that suggests he and Lfischl are not partners. The reason it looks like distancing as opposed to a sincere push on Lfischl is pretty subtle, but it boils down to this:

- Bo is calling out Lfischl at a time when Lfischl is not in particular danger of being chopped.
- Bo is mostly talking about just how anti-Lfischl Bo has been, even though that really wasn’t true.
- Bo doesn’t push hard to chop Lfischl despite

One thought in my head right now:

Let’s think about what the thread looked like D2 and N2 if Bo is Town. There was an awful lot of town on town fighting between Bo and ghug. Personal insults, mutual suspicion, OMGUS!, Bo actually walking away from the game for multiple days all because of a conflict with ghug.

Do you really think the mafia team would kill ghug N2 if Bo is Town? That uses a NK to dissolve the biggest Town on Town conflict in the game at that time.

I think it is much more likely that ghug is killed if Bo is scum. Because that would be the only scenario when the Bo/ghug conflict is very bad for scum Instead of great for them.

I don't agree – your reasoning above is precisely why it would be smart for Mafia to kill Bo – a perfect frame, no?

Bo was claiming emotional distress from dealing with ghug. Usually losing control in this game is when slips happen. So:

if both are town: scum want to keep them around to keep them fighting and distracting town

If bo is scum: MAYBE scum want to get rid of ghug to calm bo down and prevent ghug from OMGUSing back at him

Many of us approach differently. I always think I play like this (Balki may be able to comment, as he's only played with scum!Bunny before).

So players like rdr who are here but not often are usually here but not often as both roles.

Players like chaqa are always here and chaos

Players who change too much are too easy to catch.

My reads have been flip floping all the time today.

I was set on Damo but he has been really better last days and I am not sure anymore.
Balki have been a lot less townie but I don't feel like voting him.
Bozo tunnel on Bo remembers me scum Bozo at some points but he is less afraid of giving reads then scum Bozo I remember.
Chaqa is giving me a weird feeling, he seems to not have doubts and all I have this game is doubts. I know he is capable of this as town like last game, but it doesn't feel the same.
And Bo have been my top town read today, but the lack of really pushing his reads make me raise an eyebrow.

Still don't want to vote Bo and Balki today.
