what about mixing this with the rook idea?

it's duck chess but with a third 'chaos' team that moves the duck instead of the players

Also, we could just add a ton of variants.
Atomic chess (Bishops explode in a 3X3 radius when they capture. Any and every piece in the radius is destroyed.)

5-D Chess with Inter dimensional Time Travel

have you tried the moon rats? i've heard they sell all sorts of cables, including ethernet. idk i've never dealt with them but that's who the moles told me their supplier was

The Moon rats are pretty hostile towards us moon penguins. We don’t really interact because of that.
