Is the character from a fictional universe which follows the same general laws of physics and nature as the real world, as opposed to a fictional universe where, for example, magic and/or the supernatural and/or superpowers etc. exist?

^ for the new folks, since we know the character was introduced after 1800, the pass means it is uncertain if it was introduced in the US or not (also worth noting the US didn’t have the same borders throughout this time period)
