So, probably not male then, because it's unlikely that a character introduced after 1949 would have an unknown creator.

Introduced before 1975?
Yes.

This is virtually guaranteed to be a yes.

(We also know it's a human.)

First introduced by a known author

7. Introduced before 1975
8. Fictional female human

I would speculate that the PASSED question was passed due to the word "read".

The "hippo, horse, or arachnid" should never have been in the summary. The "yes" answers to both "human, horse, or hippopotamus" and "human or arachnid" mean that logically, it can only be a human.

Anyway, we now know this character had an unknown creator. Probably a folk tale character of some sort.

Is the first known mention of this character in a Germanic or Italic (Latin/Romance) language?

Until question 8, it still could have been a spider horse or some other hybrid.

Minor correction: the "not primarily known for politics, sports, or the arts" thing only applied to real humans, which we now know this character is not. This still could be a fictional politician, artist, or athlete.

(Also could have 8, 16, 32, 64, or 128 legs.)
