No.

Three questions left. I have a hint, but I'm afraid its so on the nose that once I post it, the winner will be the fastest Google searcher. I'll hold off until after Q 20.

Best known for acting? Figure we should ensure this isn't an athlete before we narrow down with our last two questions.

For what its worth, "known for movies" or "known for tv" could mean producers / businessfolks, too. E.g., Walt Disney, although he has dozens of academy awards so it can't be him.

That said, known for acting would cut out both athletes and the above, or limit the above + athletes to a very limited age range (unless they won an emmy/grammy/tony), so it makes sense to ask...

This is a bit difficult. I'm not familiar at all with this era of television.

Yep. Another possibility would be non-actor television folks like Johnny Carson (excluded due to birth state). Even if the QM limited themselves to semi-household names, there are still a few big names in each bucket left. And if its more obscure, quite a few names.

Best known for acting?
Yes.

As for obscurity, in my mind he is a bit below average fame, but he is an award-nominated actor, so far from unknown. I remember his show(s)/movie(s) very well, but bear in mind that I am 59. What is known to me might not be as well known to youngers (much like computer science nerds and fantasy/videogame characters are not as well known to me). And as for age, he has done a reasonably well-received movie produced this millenium.
