Was he alive in 1848?
It could still be a millennial as well...
Oh, I didn't think about that. But I think that the term is Gen Z?
Questionmaster Note:

"1900's" is commonly understood to refer to a decade that began on January 1, 1900, and ended on December 31, 1909.

Our subject was not alive in that decade.

Some of you are apparently thinking as if "1900s" means "The 20th Century". That is not the normal usage of the term.

Ah, the confusion stems from the fact that in the last game, the question about being alive in the 20th century ended up on the summary as being alive in the 1900s.
Seems we wasted a few questions there...

That question about him being alive in 1848 was pointless. We don't even know if he was alive between 1800-1848, between 1848-1899 or after 1910.

Q: Was he born on or after 1 January, 1945?

That is because Bona generously gave you more information than the question asked for... 😉

No it wasn't. I had interpreted 1900s as 1900-1999. That should be obvious from my question.

I am sure that was the intent of Bona's question. It would be ridiculous to ask a about a particular decade at this stage. Jamie is not wrong in his interpretation but he is being a tad crafty and should imo have stated said interpretation in the initial answer .

Even if we knew he wasn't alive in 1900-1999, it is bad to ask about 1848 specifically as it doesn't tell us whether he was alive in 1800-1847, 1849-1899 or 2001-2022.

Not attempting to be "crafty" - I had no idea any of you would mis-interpret the meaning of "1900s" in such a way, as it is absolutely not a standard use of the term.

I was kind enough to provide a clarification when it became clear you might be getting yourselves confused.

Yes, he is alive currently.

NOTE: My interpretation of "alive" means, of a person, animal, or plant, that they are living, not deceased, at the time indicated - in this case, as of 17:26 GMT on 10th December 2022.

That page suggests that September 2001 took place in the "1900s", so I'm not sure I trust it all that much.

It's the Smithsonian Institution, hardly an obscure source.

But since you insist, is this better?
