You don't think Richard Burton would warrant an unqualified yes?

Elizabeth Taylor
American. Born in Britain, so British also, but unquestionably American.

I'm not sure what you mean by this comment.

Hamish reply to the 'married to another entertainer' question was "Subjective, I would say yes". An unlikely answer for Liz Taylor, surely it would be a plain "yes". That's all I mean.

Woooo! Didn't actually know she was British until I looked up British actresses for this game.

She was actually first of all Belgian, but in this game here, we have agreed to suspend factual accuracy.

She may have been born in Belgium but was British via her father (who was British Austrian). Her mother was Dutch.

The answer 'yes' to British was accurate.

Yes, I don't think she ever had a Belgian or Dutch passport, even though she lived in the Netherlands for quite a while.

If the question had been: Was she born in the UK, I would have said no.

From the footnote wikipedia inserts when describing her as "a British actress and humanitarian"
She solely held British nationality, since at the time of her birth Dutch women were not permitted to pass on their nationality to their children; the Dutch law did not change in this regard until 1985.[1] A further reference is her birth certificate which clearly states British nationality. When asked about her background, Hepburn identified as half-Dutch,[2] as her mother was a Dutch noblewoman. Furthermore, she spent a significant number of her formative years in the Netherlands and was able to speak Dutch fluently. Her ancestry is covered in the "Early life" section.
