because the last time I thought someone was doing this, it was brain last game, and I was wrong about him being mafia. and I'm aware after several games of running into this that I read more into certain terms of phrase other people use than they even notice in their own words, and often misread them for it.

so that was meant to be a final offer to him, in case he's town, to change his approach before I did in fact just assume on principle that he was mafia for the rest of the game ("death tunnel")

he subsequently stepped away and did, imo, change his approach

Again, I think it was born of actual frustration. I don't think you'd sit there setting out to emotionally manipulate me, but I do think you'd get upset and activate your trap card as either alignment, and I don't like your trap card.

for me to beleive that there are three scum in bozo-damo-flum would mean that scum is trying to power play in consort to bring down a person from towncore - and none of these three players reasons are valid and its all just surface level efforts to churn a miskill on bunny.

timing wise it seems a little soon in a phase to be in custers last stand mode

Can you clarify the most significant reasons why you suspect PE is mafia this game?

I think he's more defensive and concerned with self-image than usual.
I think leading the charge on worcej after not being super aggressive to start the game looks a little bad, though at least the former has to come from town.
I've pointed out specific places where I think he's being dishonest or duplicitous (look for any time he's called me out for misrepresenting him lol).

It's mostly the first with a smattering of the other two.

Brain, I think you're falling victim to recency bias. Bunny had a very townie D1 and has been less impressive today, but he also clearly hasn't been around much. Flum and bozo (and to some extent Eden) were around last night and put in some nominal solving effort, which both are fully capable of doing as scum. I don't think you should be rethinking your reads on these people.

I found it odd, so I asked. I bought his explanation and didn't think it was all that crazy to move around on me. Your post just above this one is intriguing, though. I'll be curious to see an answer.

You've kind of shifted on Eden, but I also think Bunny would be a pretty unfortunate kill and still would strongly prefer to get bozo or Flum to him.

I'm happy with the wagons a few hours into the day so we'll probably end up killing damo or pyxxy or some shit.

This was BunnyGo's response N1 when I asked him about apparently changing his position on worcej, and it did not answer the question.

He tried to make someone else happen and then picked one when that failed, which is consistent with what he's saying and the opinions he's expressed.

That's what BunnyGo said but it did not answer the real question, which was why he went from being OK with a worcej DK to arguing against it and pushing alternative wagons.
