I've played this game so much I've pretty much done everything as town and scum once or twice.

She hardclaimed miller. She can't back out of that and you can't try to spin it in any way. Her vague quasi-retraction doesn't mean shit to me.Durga wrote: ↑Fri Sep 24, 2021 2:47 pmOh come on, read her posts this is getting boring.Chaqa wrote: ↑Fri Sep 24, 2021 2:42 pmI'm just not able to ignore that we have two competing hardclaims of Miller.
One of them has to go.
I strongly believe Bunny is the real Miller, so jasnah is the only person I will vote today at this point.
Might be the simplistic view of it, but i think getting too fancy and letting this drag on til later in the game when we can't afford to sort it out is dangerous. We don't always need to pull off some 10,000 IQ play. This is the logically correct choice.
Re: M70 - THE BASKIN-ROBBINS CONSPIRACY [HIDDEN]
I disagree with policy voting Jasnah because I think her and Bunny's claims should stand on the merit of their content, not the mechanical gimmick. It is telling that she has not posted, well, near anything before and since the so called hardclaim, but neither will I countenance "well we gotta vote for one of these" arguments until both have made their stand.Chaqa wrote: ↑Fri Sep 24, 2021 2:42 pmI'm just not able to ignore that we have two competing hardclaims of Miller.

If it is revealing that they have not said or done anything in the time since, well they will either correct that or not and we can deal with it then. But this insistence that "one must go" strikes me as continually strange.

Re: M70 - THE BASKIN-ROBBINS CONSPIRACY [HIDDEN]
So I think his weird gambit of fake voting tfb which led to votes for himself was odd. People have complained that his erratic behavior has been hard to read. Is it he like thisin every game or is this a one off behavior... I'm trying to see if there's a pattern or not.BunnyGo wrote: ↑Fri Sep 24, 2021 2:48 pmWhy do you think they were voting him in the first place?BesharamSabi wrote: ↑Fri Sep 24, 2021 2:39 pmThanks I try. It's just odd that everyone on worcej wagon either went to flume (or mistakenly tfb) or ghug. Just very odd. HmmmBunnyGo wrote: ↑Fri Sep 24, 2021 2:35 pm
In terms of the "tactics" of the voting. I don't think you're wrong, and I love your phrasing.
I think the worcej wagon may still have legs. The Flum wagon I think will dissipate. But who knows, just us discussing this publicly could change the results.
What was hard for me to appreciate is how much of this game really is setting up thoughts for future days. Trying to get in people's heads so that later we can look for people who "knew too much". I don't know how it will work with no physical cues (forum based) and no reveals.
What do you think motivated people to vote me before I claimed?
Re: M70 - THE BASKIN-ROBBINS CONSPIRACY [HIDDEN]
As near as I can tell several other players have a very high opinion of them as a gamer. Why do you think this "slip" isn't fakeable?
Re: M70 - THE BASKIN-ROBBINS CONSPIRACY [HIDDEN]
It's just so clear to me that jasnah isn't really doing anything as a giant scheme. She's barely posted, she likely hasn't read, and I've seen little indication that she cares about this game at all. So while I agree with people (Bunny? bozo? Vecna?) that she's smart and should be making better plays, I just can't really see this as some giant 3D chess scum ploy.Durga wrote: ↑Fri Sep 24, 2021 2:47 pmOh come on, read her posts this is getting boring.Chaqa wrote: ↑Fri Sep 24, 2021 2:42 pmI'm just not able to ignore that we have two competing hardclaims of Miller.

Sorta? In my big reads post, those two were marked as TBD because given enough time I can almost always read them correctly. It's not exactly a townslip but more they have certain behaviors I think are tells, though it's not a thing I can point out til it happens.kgray wrote: ↑Fri Sep 24, 2021 2:50 pmWere they based on 'townslips' by bona and ghug?

Unless I played with chaqa in vftf then no. I only know those here that I played vftf with.

To me it's nearly the same as two people accusing each other of killing in Among Us.snowy801 wrote: ↑Fri Sep 24, 2021 2:52 pmI disagree with policy voting Jasnah because I think her and Bunny's claims should stand on the merit of their content, not the mechanical gimmick. I mean he stated his first crumb was the first letter of his first 6 sentences (which checked out).
It was rather strange to me that he decided to seed more crumbs, and then decline to reveal what those are (why seed multiple crumbs? Just makes it more likely to be caught) but I imagine he'll reveal it when he sees fit, or not

FWIW, that struck me as a very on-brand thing for Eden to do. He probably wasn't trying to be a dick, he's just drawn that way. A lot of times he'll just shrug off or ignore a conversation, topic, or line of thought because he dismisses it outright if it doesn't track logically to him.

Re: M70 - THE BASKIN-ROBBINS CONSPIRACY [HIDDEN]
I don't think a new player does that on Day 1 or even understands the reasons it would give town cred. I generally dismiss 10th-level shenanigans.
Re: M70 - THE BASKIN-ROBBINS CONSPIRACY [HIDDEN]
I think town are more likely to *notice* borderline townslips (that's why they're townslips).kgray wrote: ↑Fri Sep 24, 2021 2:49 pmSo my instinct is that scum are more likely to be quick to give people townclear status based on this kind of thing. Do you agree with that in general and do you think Chaqa is doing that here?BunnyGo wrote: ↑Fri Sep 24, 2021 2:42 pmHe's suggesting that you've said something that a player on the scum team wouldn't think to say and in a way that they wouldn't think to phrase it.
So that you've "slipped" to us that you're on the town team.
They are easy enough to fake, but he's suggesting that he doesn't think you did.
But yeah, I think scumteam is more likely to give credit for it when borderline.
No clue what's up with Chaqa.
Re: M70 - THE BASKIN-ROBBINS CONSPIRACY [HIDDEN]
I mean Flum would definitely brag after the game haha
Re: M70 - THE BASKIN-ROBBINS CONSPIRACY [HIDDEN]
I once famously misvoted a crew v crew situation when I was certain I saw the remaining player vent because their arguments were irreconcilable and they each sounded so certain. It's not so black or white as that and you ought to know it, I think. If there is argument to be made for either Jasnah or Bunny to be voted out today (and I think there very well could be) it's not so basic as "well they both claimed miller"Chaqa wrote: ↑Fri Sep 24, 2021 2:54 pmTo me it's nearly the same as two people accusing each other of killing in Among Us.snowy801 wrote: ↑Fri Sep 24, 2021 2:52 pmI disagree with policy voting Jasnah because I think her and Bunny's claims should stand on the merit of their content, not the mechanical gimmick. fwiw Flum is the trolliest player I know and I don't think the fake voting of tfb is in any way alignment indicative.BesharamSabi wrote: ↑Fri Sep 24, 2021 2:52 pmSo I think his weird gambit of fake voting tfb which led to votes for himself was odd. You seem to be including me in that "they". Can I grind any of your corn for you? Otherwise, I'm happy to enjoy my hard cider and wait for tomorrow.snowy801 wrote: ↑Fri Sep 24, 2021 2:52 pmI disagree with policy voting Jasnah because I think her and Bunny's claims should stand on the merit of their content, not the mechanical gimmick. Re: M70 - THE BASKIN-ROBBINS CONSPIRACY [HIDDEN]
I dunno what I'm doing and trying to shit post less and try to be more productive in this game. I guess it's plausible to fake this but like why would I do that?
Did chaqa put a target on my back? Do I need more coffee to figure this out?
