If people are playing on phone like me or you are lazy like me it's a lot easier to post here in the thread then to look for the GM to send a private message.snowy801 wrote: ↑Tue Aug 07, 2018 12:23 amI've got a general question for y'all
whenever I had a question about game mechanics I would PM the GM. I always felt that people who make GM calls aren't so much in it for the information as the appearance of one who cares about figuring out the game

Re: MAFIA XXXVIII: INFINITY WAR
Sounds reasonable, I admit to having done that on occasion in my first games as scum.snowy801 wrote: ↑Tue Aug 07, 2018 12:23 amI've got a general question for y'all

Re: MAFIA XXXVIII: INFINITY WAR
Honestly as someone who GM's frequently on this website.. call GM's can allow the GM to clarify rules, but idk it depends on the Call GM I guess to answer the question posed.
Re: MAFIA XXXVIII: INFINITY WAR
I make GM calls to make myself look good. I also make GM calls to get questions answered. PMs are mostly for things that would reveal my role or things I don't necessarily wasn't people knowing/knowing I'm thinking about.
Re: MAFIA XXXVIII: INFINITY WAR
The entire propose of this extra-small text vomit is to serve as an unfortunate reminder that you've been allowed to run multiple mafia games.
Re: MAFIA XXXVIII: INFINITY WAR
I'm afraid I won't have time to solve the game before I'm fearkilled, but thanks for the vote of confidence.
If I die N1, Ezio should be the first suspect, btw.

@Ghug: Yeah, it's unfortunate that they allow jerk's like you to play in these games. But, w/e just have to deal with distasteful and foul people like you.

I don't really know what that is in reference too, but wow. Bizarre.

Ladies and gentlemen,
The role of Jamiet99uk will be played by ND this game.

Re: MAFIA XXXVIII: INFINITY WAR
My post was in reference to you actually. I got to remember to use the quote thing automatically.

Ah, right, so the soul stone holder should definitely claim if about to be lynched.RagingIke297 wrote: ↑Tue Aug 07, 2018 12:29 am
The soul stone MUST be in possession of the Serial Killer in order to activate. Once activated it can be used to make a night kill by any faction
The question is, should they claim now then, so we get a free clear? The Mafia may not want to kill them anyway because they can't claim to have the stone if they are about to be lynched (or they basically would be admitting to being the Ninja), so if they kill the sould stone holder they risk tranferring the stome to the SK, which they probably don't want to do anymore than us. Also, so that the Vig doesn't accidentally shoot them. Thoughts?
Re: MAFIA XXXVIII: INFINITY WAR
Because part of the point is to put off needlessly killing townies, and when it's just the lynch and the NK, I feel like we can afford to let the mafia team move first. With SK, it's less certain because it's probably 2 dead townies (maybe a dead mafia, but odds are on town). So I think we do need that extra information from the D1 lynch sooner.
But in this game, I guess that matters less, because SK doesn't get a kill N1... So I could continue to advocate for this... But that it's coming up on pointless mechanics jabber, when we all know that Day One No Lynch is never going to happen.
