I directly posed the question twice. I pointed you to it again. I just explained why I was asking it and basically gave my own answer because you clearly couldn't be bothered. There's no way you're not aware what the question was at this point.

We made a technical error in a previous game hoping for Macca to be modkilled when Macca was in fact lurking scum. Better not to base our decisions on a hypothetical modkill as this thinking could be abused by scum.

I'll comment on this since I am bad and have been delving into my badness recently, and this Maniac post is a good example (not that I know Maniac's alignment - but:).

The inherent problem is that people who are good at being scum will say pro town things. This is a major bias that I've been carrying the last several games, thereby townreading people who are just good scum. Pretty much all the people on this site are pretty damn good at scum, so you have to dig to "the second level" to try to uncover scum.

Now- I don't actually know what the second level is. My goal is to start to try to find it. But you have to put in your backpack the fact that people who say and do things that are pro-town aren't necessarily town - because scum are smart enough to realize they cannot play anti-town.

Yes, but unfortunately Macca will never be around at EOD because of location. Since they forgot they had an item, I suspect their item is not critical.

I'd be sad if that was the case. It was a rather spiteful-sounding thing to say. I don't have any personal issues with Macca and I'm truly sorry if Macca has some kind of personal dislike for me.

I think Macca has been weird so far this game. I assume the lettuce-eating claim is correct, but a lot of Macca's posting is quite weird and they seem to totally miss really important info, like when Macca stubbornly and angrily refused to notice that I had made an item claim.

The issue is I also agree with Snowy that Macca behaving oddly is a town-tell.

I think fakeclaiming at the outset is anti-town and I think ghug chose to wheel around the issue in a strange way when questioned by Jamie; I think town who joked would not speak in hypotheticals as ghug did but say, simply, “It was a joke,” and be done with it.

I have not gotten any scum vibes from Jamie and I don’t think most scum would counterclaim if they have the actual chicken.

Therefore I believe Jamie more likely town and ghug non town aligned.
