The following are my top scum suspects:

DrCJG: His calling out on D1 how he is playing differently as he has as scum, which I detailed in a post N1, makes him a top suspect for me. Also, since then, he has asked a lot of questions directed at other players about their reads that he has not followed up on, it seems like he is trying to stay engaged without trying to solve the game.

damo: I still go back to D1 when damo seemed to be moving his vote whenever his vote received criticism, or whenever someone voting for the same player received criticism for their vote. It also seems likely there was some scum effort to prevent his lynch D1 and D2. After seeing xorxes call damo a “horrible wagon” D2, I thought it was possible he had an innocent scan on damo. However, xorxes said he town read damo D1, so he was not a likely scan target for xorxes N1, and I think xorxes’s “last instructions” were very likely a guilty report on Szpoti/Ezio.

yavuzovic: His first posts after xorxes was revealed as cop made it sound like yavuzovic thought he had been scanned with a guilty result, and he appears to be trying to explain possible future guilty scans as him being the miller. He also defended Szpoti/Ezio and he was a strong scum read of xorxes.

Pseudolus, Squigs44, and Vecna walk out of the latest show by Rome’s most famous playwright, Plautus—a musical extravaganza overflowing with dopey showgirls and gooey gowns. Walking down the Via Latus, Pseudolus thumbs through is playbill and says, “It was fine, but I would have made some changes. Maybe in a future life I’ll be a producer.”

They walk on and Vecna says, “You know, I’ve never really understood the whole deus ex machina thing they do at the end of these shows.”

Still walking, Pseudolus says, “Well, Must See TV won’t be invented for more than two millennia, so we have to make do with more primitive plot devices until then. I mean, look, we might be inventing the walk-and-talk right now. But anyway, it’s simple, it means ‘god from the machine’ and it’s when a major plot resolution is contrived without naturally arising from the motivations or actions of the characters. Sometimes they have a pulley machine that lowers an actor playing a god down to announce that the gods have suddenly fixed everything out of nowhere, that’s where the name comes from.”

They notice Vecna is missing and backtrack to the mouth of a dank alley where they find him dead from many stab wounds.

“You see,” Pseudolus says, “this is not deus ex machina, because there were characters with motivations who decided to murder Vecna.”

Suddenly, a shaft of light shines down on Squigs44. Pseudolus jumps back as an enormous hand reaches down from the ethereal halo of light and places a rhinestone tiara with the word ‘TOWN’ spelled out in big blue letters. For good measure, an enormous voice from above announces “SQUIGS44 IS A TRUE ROMAN, OF THE TOWN.”

“See, that,” Pseudolus says, “is deus ex machina.”

VECNA HAS DIED. He was Harpax of Rome (Vanilla Town).

Because I gambled on it. He wasn't trying too hard D1/N1 and that was different from normal.
