to make this line of thinking work, it HAS to be Vecna-Chayozo-King Balki pairing. It can't be only Vecna-King Balki, the Chayozo slot has to be mafia too. If maf-Vecna doesn't know there will be two subs, then he would know yoyo to be the sub.

And even if that is the world we live in, I don't think that Vecna would post that. Well, maybe when he is being cocky, ok, but I still think it to be very unlikely

If you mean the substitute guess, Vecna made that post before EoD. If you think that Vecna had prior information of a sub being needed, then ok, the time is a bit close, so it might be possible that maf-vecna knew a sub was coming.

BUT, we all saw yoyo's post that he volunteers as a sub, on page 1. That means it is general knowledge that he will be first sub. So maf-vecna knowing a teammember is going to sub out would not expect Balki to come in.

There is a possibility, that maf-vecna knew there were two subs coming from his teammembers, thinking and guessing that for the second spot, someone else would be there, and choose Balki. But he could've chosen other players too, like Kgray.

So I think that was just Vecna posting some stuff from the past, not counting for Balki to sub in. If anything, that makes me think Vecna is more likely town, but rationally, it's just totally NAI.

Or did I overlook anything, an aspect of this situation?

That is very unlikely. We could test that though by voting Balki tomorrow. He said before he would solve the game tonight, so he could leave us with this information, then we proceed to vote him out, confirming either he was lying or he is town, then go from there.

But as I said, very unlikely. I'd put my money on voting D&W out tomorrow

either mafia or hurtful town. I think removing him is not a mistake. He ignores evidence and spins it to fit his narrative, as previously shown, and it just makes so much damage, in my opinion. He doesn't consider to reevaluate or check prior evidence and that is a clear sign that even if he is town, he will not be of great use to us

I'll just say the quiet part out loud. Mafia's best bet is to use the tadpole towards the end of the game so the weird stuff people are doing to try to draw the tadpole is a waste of time, and honestly I find it kind of distracting. :/

My point still stands. Mafia benefit the later they use it, so spending a week gimmicking about it serves only as a distraction to actually solving the game. Also good morning!

One of my early red flags was on D&W but because of catching up on posts I forgot why and couldn’t cite it so I backed off. But certainly off vibes I’ve gotten it feels like an overplaying town which feels scum team to me like trying to be too helpful. Could of course be way off on this assessment
