Hm so it's an object you wear, that is probably but not necessarily made from organic materials, that is quite heavy, and hard but not impossible to set on fire, and the word itself is fun to say.

I'm out of guesses.

Galoshes is a fun word to say. It is also used in the Firesign theatre bit I learned this word from as a child.
