I guess the issue here is that I put too much information up. You raise good points. At the moment I feel like there are bigger fish to fry. I will look into Aaro at some point. You know I am open minded. But what about Ezio??

Re: M81: A Night To Remember [GAME THREAD]
if the purpose of this was to townclear RHK because Ezio is pushing him, ezio didnt really push RHK, and none of the rest of this clears RHK at all. Hamilton didnt even include RHK in his reads at all.
SO where is the RHK being townclear coming from in this?

also, not to go bonkers here but I suspect ezio is scum. he isnt confirmed scum. he hasnt flipped scum. so declaring everyone ezio pushed as town is pretty shitty detective work. It reaches for an idea, but it isnt resolute by any means. Even if the theory makes sense, and there is evidence, you cant clear people from non flipped slots you think are scum

I was cataloging as much for me as for anything. There's no significance to the chronology or narrative I'm trying to display between my brief summary at the end.sweetandcool wrote: ↑Thu Jun 22, 2023 6:55 pmIt's actually quite similar to your format with bullets, except I used my bullets as links.ghug wrote: ↑Thu Jun 22, 2023 6:49 pmEzio's in a PoE clump with damo and RHK for me behind my main scumreads. It's probably because I mostly play on mobile but I'm just flat out not going to click that many links in a post. Strongly prefer quotes.
As for the meat of it, I think you're ascribing way too much scum motive to being pro claim. I don't think ezio's the sort to boldly push something like that if he thinks it's anti-town, and I'm fairly confident that HB just hadn't thought through the mechanical nuances. I'll think a little more on the rest of it but I'm leaning towards not moved.

I’m doing him the favor of not reading itbrainbomb wrote: ↑Thu Jun 22, 2023 6:49 pmholy shit did ghug really make a case. okay I gotta read this.ghug wrote: ↑Thu Jun 22, 2023 5:49 pmDay one, aaro's expressions of opinions on alignments were as follows:
- A naked vote on worcej for claiming his partner.
- On S&C, prompted by Ezio: "I think he’s playing well and is agreeing with me. Unfortunately, I’ve never played with him before so it’s hard to know if that’s a towny or just neutral. I don’t get scummy vibes though."
- A naked vote on Vecna I think for being bad at math.
- Some reinforcement of the Vecna scumread as being vibes in addition to math
- A summary of opinions with certainly that I'm scum, scumleans on Vecna, worcej, and maybe damo, and a null on brain with a refusal to vote him because his posting is good for town. (Side note, I think this makes aaro/brain unlikely.
- Thinks Chaqa is dumb or scum, presumably because of the partner claiming.
- "I think people that pushed claiming likely contain at least one scum."
- Reiterates the Vecna scumread for absence and says Rd is similar.
- Joke townreads brain on contraction theory.
- Talks about trusting brain's hunch on HB but not his case, and doesn't really vote or mention HB directly.
- Votes Kak for reviving the math discussion.
- Scumreads me again, saying the scumread on worcej has faded and that he'd consider HB.
- Agrees with Jamie that brain looks bad for not following through on HB.
- Votes me.
.
- Votes Hamilton at the end.
To summarize, that's nine scumreads and zero townreads, with four of those scumreads (worcej, Vecna, Chaqa, Kak) based probably on mechanics and three others (damo, Rd, and brain) only mentioned once in passing.
I was giving aaro a bit of a pass for this early on because he was clearly very excited about the setup, but at this point it seems pretty clear that he's not really trying to solve.

Re: M81: A Night To Remember [GAME THREAD]
RHK isn't definitively townclear. But if we believe your analysis of Ham's meta, then RHK seems an unlikely teammate.brainbomb wrote: ↑Thu Jun 22, 2023 7:00 pmif the purpose of this was to townclear RHK because Ezio is pushing him, ezio didnt really push RHK, and none of the rest of this clears RHK at all. I'm thinking our definitions of pushing is different. Yeah, if we go by votes and how emphatically a read is pursued, then you could say Ham didn't push RHK, and Ezio did push sweetandcool (but perhaps not as heavily as you would like).
What sticks out like a sore thumb is the fact that Ham seemed to absolutely love your reads. And your reads, which I established chronologically, were against RHK, sweetandcool, and Aaro.
But your initial response to my case was: This
Which seemed to indicate that not only that you didn't believe a word I was saying, but that you also believed you had HB in your scumreads while HB was approving them, which is untrue.

In the sense that Ham purported to scumread us because of our stance on mechanics, yes. In the sense that their purported view of mechs contributes to my argument, and that I give a hoot about anyone's stance on mechs, no.ghug wrote: ↑Thu Jun 22, 2023 7:12 pmThe anti-aaro/sweet stuff had a mechanical bent to it, no?sweetandcool wrote: ↑Thu Jun 22, 2023 7:10 pmNone of my argument really has anything to do with mechanical stances :/ghug wrote: ↑Thu Jun 22, 2023 7:07 pm

Re: M81: A Night To Remember [GAME THREAD]
In summary,
I think Ezio is very likely mafia. I think RHK is likely town, but it's not 100% conclusive, certainly.
That is what is on the agenda.

No.
This is a joke (for legal reasons). I'll have a look into it, don't worry. I'm not too sure how much it will help since I kinda was on the wrong track before and my early reads are often to be taken with a grain of salt, but I'll give my honest opinion.
Re: M81: A Night To Remember [GAME THREAD]
yeah, he bussed a teammate but then when it was near EoD and it looked like his teammate was the dayvote he backpedalled and tried to save them, which got both of them caught.
There are similarities here from that game, not exactly like at the time, though brain might've learned from it and can now stay cool when this happens.
Re: M81: A Night To Remember [GAME THREAD]
The funny thing is that HB was also scum in that game and got himself caught at the same time.Kakarroto wrote: ↑Thu Jun 22, 2023 7:28 pmyeah, he bussed a teammate but then when it was near EoD and it looked like his teammate was the dayvote he backpedalled and tried to save them, which got both of them caught.

@aaro there is enough time (or at least was enough time) at night to explain the math. To say where this mysterious gap between the probabilities came from. "i DoNt WaNt To SaY nOw WaIt FoR aFtEr GaMe" isn't good enough. EXPLAIN YOURSELF. It's not like you are doing anything else.aarodactyl wrote: ↑Thu Jun 22, 2023 1:51 pm@brain: it’s very early in the morning here and I’m having trouble reading through your long posts.
