Please could you use "##Call GM" because I search for "##" when looking for things I need to respond to.
As noted in the OP, normal WebDip Mafia is in play here, except where otherwise stated. So YES that means 48 hour days and 24 hour nights, as usual.
To the second question, I have mostly addressed this, but will expand my answer:
I hope this helps.Jamiet99uk wrote: ↑Wed Jul 31, 2024 12:13 pmVote ties ARE possible.
If there is a tie for first, both those people flip.
If there is a tie for second, only the person in first will flip.
If there is somehow a three-way tie for first, all three will flip.
If there is a four-way tie for first, all four will flip.
If there is a five-way tie for first, all five will flip.... AND SO ON.
Potato, potato; potato.

Considering your posting style, I don’t like this position

Loving this entrance. Consider me pocketedFlaviusAetius wrote: ↑Thu Aug 01, 2024 8:01 amThis requires someone to track it, the person who is "tracking" that soft vote does a lot without doing anything not good!President Eden wrote: ↑Wed Jul 31, 2024 10:22 pmIn the meantime we can use &&s to soft vote.

Yes we literally have 3 miskills, but mechanically we really only have one day phase of a complete wiff to use as VCAFlaviusAetius wrote: ↑Thu Aug 01, 2024 8:14 amI am pretty sure this is false, we have 9 people at the start, two miskills brings us down to 7, mafia kill one, now its 6. 4 town vs 2 mafia we still can win the game. Even THREE miskills D1 with that scenario Jamie pointed wouldnt mean gameoverworcej wrote: ↑Wed Jul 31, 2024 11:50 pmI don't like this take only because you're implying we have free time here to employ VCA.TheFlyingBoat wrote: ↑Wed Jul 31, 2024 11:42 pm
I think it's better to just hunt for scum lmao, but that being said, when all else is equal in terms of my scum sus on a series of people I'll generally vote for the least useful of those people and in my experience it has borne out in history as the better things to do.
When we got rid of shit town early and tracked VCA we tended to do well and when I was mafia, I explicitly tried to force the opposite to occur by going on what I thought at the time to be a suicide run to get rid of durga.
We have 2 miskills boss - you don't have the luxury to just toss one out.
Re: WebMafia Olympics - Game #2 - Star Trek TNG: The Republic of Q [GAME THREAD]
So much hedging to finally get here.
##vote Flavius
Re: WebMafia Olympics - Game #2 - Star Trek TNG: The Republic of Q [GAME THREAD]
I find this funny. What is not good about voting scum?FlaviusAetius wrote: ↑Thu Aug 01, 2024 8:52 am??? Why do you ahve a strong townread on him? EVERYTHING he has done so far has not been goodPresident Eden wrote: ↑Thu Aug 01, 2024 1:56 amIt’s pointless to hash out any further anyway. You’ll come around, I’ll have one vote on me at EOD (just kidding, Chaqa will read this and be sure to vote me at some point just to make me wrong), and we’ll laugh about it in postgame.
Plus I have a pretty strong townread on you now, so mission accomplished for you I guess lol. Boat might be ok too
My vote on you is because you seem to be implying voting to be bad here but not actually scummy. Being bad does not inherently make me scummy.

How did I mess my day up?FlaviusAetius wrote: ↑Thu Aug 01, 2024 8:20 amNot only did he do a vote, he did TWO votes, like I am pretty sure he read the setup, this is just a wrong strategy for someone who "watched" the first gmae of the Olympics and didnt want to mess up D1 , he kinda just messed up hisPresident Eden wrote: ↑Thu Aug 01, 2024 12:14 amI’m not worried about this coming up with me, but I think it’s stupid and reckless to throw a vote out that you can’t take back this early in the phase without any idea how the day is going to develop. So I’d like you to explain the alternative view because it’s not obvious to me at all
Explain it from a town perspective and also a scum perspective.
Re: WebMafia Olympics - Game #2 - Star Trek TNG: The Republic of Q [GAME THREAD]
Again - none of this analysis indicates I am scummy.FlaviusAetius wrote: ↑Thu Aug 01, 2024 8:25 amHe's backed himself into a wall to view EVERYTHING you and will did and do as scummy, because he has no other choice, his day has been set out for him and he has already laid the groundwork for whyPresident Eden wrote: ↑Thu Aug 01, 2024 12:36 amYour vote also “means nothing” here. It’s not a credible threat. And you can’t even take it back, so now what?worcej wrote: ↑Thu Aug 01, 2024 12:29 amI think it’s far more helpful for me as a town player to put my firm fist down on you for pushing the “soft votes” because ultimately they mean nothing and should be treated as such.
So, FWIW, I don’t think I wasted my vote on you. I firmly believe you’re scummy for pushing a soft mechanic to keep the gamestate in a controlled state.
(D1 of other game not being good, cant MK)
Im on the VERGE of voting worcej right now
Re: WebMafia Olympics - Game #2 - Star Trek TNG: The Republic of Q [GAME THREAD]
So because I don’t agree that I can be ignored you should kill me today?FlaviusAetius wrote: ↑Thu Aug 01, 2024 8:33 amI think Eden is thinking exactly what I am; because worcej has voted so early, he is going to be arguing that Eden & Will are mafia pretty much no matter what they do or say. He can practically be ignored for them, and he'd rather focus his attention to make sure others don't follow his follyTheFlyingBoat wrote: ↑Thu Aug 01, 2024 12:41 amCan you explain why it means nothing? IMO the fact it can't be taken back makes it a credible threat. Unless you're arguing the wanton nature of it makes it not mean anything?President Eden wrote: ↑Thu Aug 01, 2024 12:36 am

Someone seems to be far more opportunistic than the others
Re: WebMafia Olympics - Game #2 - Star Trek TNG: The Republic of Q [GAME THREAD]
Yep - literally not a single explanation on why I could be scum before this, just disagreeing with my style.
Confidence of scum in my votes:
Flavius: 60%
Eden: 33.89%
Will: 3.14%

Re: WebMafia Olympics - Game #2 - Star Trek TNG: The Republic of Q [GAME THREAD]
Considering the fact that I had to take my husband to the hospital yesterday right as the game started and then juggle two children without power because a massive storm rolled through, I was pleased with the 3 or so posts I did manage to make. Also, most of the commentary was talking about bots and vote counts which I don’t understand. So just saying I’m going to be a potential vote or that I’m nobody based on those observations is super lame.FlaviusAetius wrote: ↑Thu Aug 01, 2024 8:55 amCaught up!
