This was my thoughts as well about Balki’s statements. Felt a little too try-hard for the first ~8 hours of the game.

I can see a town motivation for not liking that nothing is happening 8 hours into the game, can't you?

I can if you don't find the joke phase entertaining at all, but the joke phase isn't a waste of time imho

It's been a pretty tepid joke phase though. I like shitposting as much as the next guy, but it's less fun and less useful if we're barely talking.

I think I would stay hidden as the CWV, in my opinion the problems a hidden CWV cause the mafia are worth the risk.

Smaller audience and also "joke phase" isn't entirely just jokes - it's more the title commonly used for people discussing non-game stuff such as pain meds, steak, travel plans, etc.

I use it to gauge where some of the players may be in terms of mindset and it helps establish something that I am probably wrong about.

ghug seems to be trying to mislead the group by providing false information or distracting from the real issues at hand.

Chaqa is consistently trying to manipulate the group's decision-making process by sowing confusion and discord.

The Chaqa post did seem to come out of no where in my opinion, but that makes me more likely to town him D1 then scum him.

I can't guess alignment from it (I could see him doing it either way, but more likely as town), but my best guess is he's lying and intends to come clean tonight. I think he wanted to shake something up? I'm not sure how I'd describe his thoughts.

If he actually is the Vet, I think he claimed too early.

I wonder what the game thread learns by way of flavor if there is a gunshot, but the target is not killed. And if Hooker visits War Vet, does hooker die or does the RB work?

Is there some place I can read to know how these rules will be enforced?

I'd imagine we won't hear of a gunshot, and that the vet can't be hooked, but a ##CALLGM would give a definitive answer.

1. If a gunshot is fired during the day, the "A SHOT RINGS OUT" message will be posted even if there is no death.

2. The Civil War Veteran's reflexive blasting is not an "action" so it cannot be Roleblocked. The Hooker would die in the situation you mention.

Yes. You have to visit someone to shoot at them. Pistols in tham thar days weren't very long ranged.

What should we take from it? What are you saying about the things Damo did with respect to Pyxxy and Rivera and what does it say about Damo's alignment?

I tried to bold your inferring question, to which I replied, "Definitely not." At this point in the game, don't infer anything from me. It is primarily baseless. If I start to push something I feel strongly about, then I'll announce it with better reasoning than whatever it was I said about Damo.

It's D1 early-game shit posting. I could have easily chosen worcej for his comment on 'more time in game is NAI' or something like that. I could have chosen you. Don't count on it. It's early D1.

I'm feeling a little paranoid because I feel like you're really going after me but I am NOT the only one that has put a vote up, but I'm primarily the one you're digging in to, IMHO. YMMV.

Can we put an end to it for now? Once we get a Day under us and start some vote analysis, then.

I don't know if Balki claim is true or not but I strongly think he is town. Don't see any reason for scum to fake claim about it at this moment. Don't know if the claim is a benefit for town, it depends on a lot of variables, but it's a good way to be sure you stay alive longer, which I can see Balki thinking it's a huge benefit (to him).
