All I can really do is look back over everything again and just rethink it. So, I'll start doing that.

Re: MAFIA 83: HALLOWE'EN IN THE TOYSHOP - GAME THREAD
We've experienced a bit of a gift. Still 8-2 or 9-1.
My euphoria tells me that they tried to shoot but the target was wearing a vest. I have to go back to check notes to see if that's a thing.
The cynic in me tells me mafia held the shot to allow for a false claim.
This really is a suggestion that we need to go back to the drawing board.
Voting analysis is going to be shit so it's gotta be the interactions and the slips.

Yep. I agree with the statement. Shooting Brain was the correct course of action, but I just convinced myself of the righteousness of my own case.rdrivera2005 wrote: ↑Thu Oct 26, 2023 3:56 pmI am really shocked people still think it's acceptable town shooting anyone other then Brain at that point. I already told it to Vecna when he claimed gun and ND just ignoreddamo666 wrote: ↑Thu Oct 26, 2023 7:40 am@ND don't beat yourself up, you made a good case and just happened to be wrong.
The one flaw was assuming scum would kill Vecna but why should they. He was a likely save target and what was he gonna do with the ax? Kill brain who was a dead man walking anyway or kill someone else who has a good chance of being town.
Now why NK Darg? Well I think they avoided Vecna, Macca and ,HB as possible save targets. So maybe Darg was the kill in order to set up a miskill of rdr. If rdr is scum and was saved day 1 I doubt they kill Darg.
Will screams town, I can't see ND being that elaborate as scum and (for now) assuming Macca and HB are town my main suspects are worcej and DemonRHK. Less likely but possible Spirit and Kak and I guess I might be wrong about rdr. If it's anyone else they've played a blinder.
We should have had a regular day if he shot Brain, were he could push Vecna and see who vote, who defend, etc and you seeing this as an acceptable mistake is bizarre.
I was wrong, but in the moment I thought that I had to be right.
But, it's a fair point and it is a valid reason to vote me. I accept that outcome.

Is this you saying that you consider worcej or Demon mafia or do you just randomly want to pop someone for some discovery?

ND is putting themselves in the position of being contrite town accepting of any town justice meted out. Or, mafia playing contrite town hoping town doesn't vote them out.
I'm torn. I lean towards the former, but could the hyperfocus on JustAWill with the amazingly well-constructed, undeniably well-thought out albeit myopic, cases be such blatant mafia theatre? And if we're not sure, do we remove the distraction just to be sure?
We do have room for a town miskill, but I also think we need major diggings into the past 3 days and nights.

I wonder how much there is to see. Bona became the runaway but there might be something in the dialogue. Someone was on your case when your vote for JustAWill was a vanity vote.

Why though? AFAIC, Rivera is playing that typical game of his. I need to reread but there's nothing much about their posts that stands out. He's been around, but not really leading, but not really deterring either I don't think.

There was some chaos D1 and we know the Bona wagon was influenced by Brain at a minimum.Hamilton Brian wrote: ↑Thu Oct 26, 2023 11:34 pmI wonder how much there is to see. Brain also claimed around an hour and a half before the deadline. Even with the item, why make the detective claim? He was already down one team mate and he had to know his claim would get cced. Logically thinking, there must be something there. At least that is what I keep telling myself.

Well like I wrote in my EON2 post. The N2 discussions with Will was theater. I write why in that post, but idk man. I thought it was Vecna and Darg in that post. I was wrong on both accounts. I kind of needed a breather from the game after last night so I haven't really engaged much. I do need to rethink everything and do what I can.Hamilton Brian wrote: ↑Thu Oct 26, 2023 11:33 pmND is putting themselves in the position of being contrite town accepting of any town justice meted out. But, sure. Like I just mentioned to Rdr. His reasoning for suspecting me is sound. You suspecting me is sound reasoning. I shot a player who flipped town and all my cases have just been wrong. I don't blame anyone for voting for me.
I'll do what I can, rethink the game as much as I can, but if the town decides to exit me then so be it. I don't fault you guys. I probably would do the same thing in your position.

Rivera isn’t my #1 suspect. Worcej is. I am waiting for worcej to plead his case.Hamilton Brian wrote: ↑Thu Oct 26, 2023 11:36 pmWhy though? AFAIC, Rivera is playing that typical game of his. But rivera has given off some weird vibes form his posts. He has not contributed nearly as much as others and it seems intentional.

There's a fair amount of backward looking we need to do. I am thinking there's got to be a pre-SweetDeath and then a post-SweetDeath>EOD1 to look at.
Did anyone give off any "rattled" vibes once sweet was killed. Certainly teammates might react.
And Brain went chaotic. Kind of in a way to not take connections seriously, I don't think.
If the person who shot ghug claimed, that'd be good. We're a pretty forgiving bunch.

I can’t rely on knowing how Rivera playing in previous games, but I will say if he plays like this a lot it may get tricky when he’s in a game.JustAGuyNamedWill wrote: ↑Thu Oct 26, 2023 11:59 pmRivera isn’t my #1 suspect. The only thing that really throws me off is: why darg?
I feel like darg had a considerable amount of suspicion amongst him, and the mafia surely knew this.
It just doesn’t make sense. Maybe it was something darg said? Probably that, but idk…

Idk nothing really makes sense. I've been thinking about this logically and it's all illogical.

I just want to put this on the table again. I think ND utilized the post in one of the walls, but it gets us thinking Brain again. Would vote worcej over will. But Brain lied his ass off so ...
Re: MAFIA 83: HALLOWE'EN IN THE TOYSHOP - GAME THREAD
There was little to no chance Will was going to be a wagon D1. Me and you were the only two people who voted him or even seemed to consider it. I find it hard to believe Brain would fake claim to save Will when Will wasn't in much danger at all.Hamilton Brian wrote: ↑Fri Oct 27, 2023 12:09 amI just want to put this on the table again. Looking at the videos Brain posted D1 (and I never look at links in this game)
Starts off with the old SNL sketch with Irwin Mainway and the Consumer Report.
2nd to bona is the broccoli tailgater.
Weird.
