I'm glad that he is your friend, and it is good for you to honor him. But he was irrationally overconfident in his abilities to read a newbie on day 1.

"What struck me as odd, and still does is that sparta has no townreads, and seemingly no actual scumreads." That was absolutely true at the time. "This alone is just maybe inexperience but add on top of that, they dont seem to want to inform their reads with any form of dialogue." Again, that was absolutely true at the time. I wanted to see the first day all the way through before forming opinions. Now that we have a couple of people eliminated, I am much more into figuring things out - like why damo didn't sic the bees on me.

See my post on page 52 for further explanations of my day 1 play. I firmly stand by my belief that there just isn't all that much to get out of day 1 chitchat.
What are your thoughts on Lord of Words? What are your thoughts on Lord of Bees*?

Chiming in, I'm off work for the weekend, so I'm around to answer questions directly if you'd like.

Just going over Will's reads list.
PLEASE ANSWER MY QUESTION!!!1!!

Nice town slip.
All rather critical questions following eachother up, and then foodcoats gets a pass?

How come scum couldnt do this?
My opinion was that is was a nice town slip regardless of whether it was fake. Now that I know foodcoats was a PR, I suspect it was fake and he was trying to look like a VT.

Top 4 town reads…go!

Don’t jump the gun voting for me.
Townreads:
Bona, Jamie, bozo, idk last slot, those are my 3 more or less clear reads. Maybe ghug? Rivera also looks nice, but not much d2 substance.

Scum read:
Dunno. I don’t like damos shot, but I don’t think it necessarily is scummy, especially with the claim. Though it’s very possible that damo is self aware enough that if they were scum, they could make the claim and go for town cred, knowing we wouldn’t go for the kill. Spartaculous I also don’t like too much. So between those two probably.

Then maybe something is faulty with your deductions. Flip it around and since I am town, what viable triple does that leave you with?
Sparta Vecna Jamie ??
That team makes no sense. If I'm lying scum, why would Ghug be lying town?
you could have been jailed scum.

I just attempted a reads list, but halfway through I got really tired of it and I kept essentially calling everyone null. I'm just going to post an extremely condensed version of it and then make a follow up post about who I am willing to vote for, who I am not willing to vote for.

damo: His vote for sweetandcool feels like a parody of his normal play. Still, not much content to really assess his alignment, I can only divine that he is busy.

rdr: Seems happy. Is actually towning me.

Dr.brain: I really like his play so far. I really just need to make a separate post about the content of the discussion he is generating, but I don't have the time today.

Ham: ??? Is excited about the game though, that must make him TOWN.

Pirate: Hmmmm, did follow through with unvoting me when I came back. Is making the classic newbie mistake of scumreading players you don't understand (bona). I want to conclude soft town.

worcej: I'm liking him this game but normally I feel nothing. Does that make him scum?

bozothetown: Opened the game pretty tinfoily. I think this is town bozo.

ghug: I think he is actually scum this game. Call it vibes. No, I am not able to make a case at this time. I am reasonably confident that by D3 I should know for sure.

Balki: I like him this game. I think him "panicking" about the lack of content is generally more townie, but I don't know his scum game and if that is a scum trick of his.

Jamiet: I'm actually pretty good at figuring out when he is Mafia. I'm not sure yet, but he is feeling worse rather than better so far. His reaction to my RNG vote was Authentic, but in the follow up discussion around it his suspicions of me didn't display the critical thinking I would expect from Town Jamiet.

Will: I think there is a decent chance Will is scum. Bona has correctly pointed out that Will's content mostly lacks substance. My discussion with him also indicated that Will's state of mind was one of disinterest in solving the game, which is less likely to come from Town.
@Jamie this post (esp about Will) is one reason sweet ain't scum
I still think it possible that sweetandcool was bussing all 3 of his teammates in that post.

Are you sure you do not know foodcoats alignment?
Ah...yes...

If you are town, then I think Sparta is likely town. How did scum not push him harder while also letting the Foreman go?

Maybe it was because Just had given him a 3 DAY PASS?!
Why does your theory that Spartaculous and I are connected as scum mean that one of us being town would make the other more likely to be town? Or are you saying something else?
I'm saying Sparta should have been an easier counter-wagon to save Just if it was really 3 town voting for him. When I posted that I was thinking they'd be more likely to push him if he's town, but I think they'd save GF!Just by bussing Sparta there too. So maybe it is NAI for Sparta knowing you're town.

One saving grace is that Just had announced he wouldn't vote Sparta...so maybe some of the scum team decided that was a bad counterwagon?

Ties, but work I don't like killing new players.
Why are you voting for a new player now then?
##vote bozo.

Town bozo is smarter than all this.

You know, other than possibly some late voters who could have been giving up on Will, I think there was no bussing.

From an outside perspective, however, I think it's reasonable to consider sweetandcool or possibly even Bona bussing.

But I doubt Bona bussing and I know I didn't.

What does it mean to you when Mafia RB someone other than the NK?
Assuming the jailer can't jail themselves, there is not much of a reason to RB the NK in this game. If I were mafia, I would have advocated not using the RB N1.

I think the availability of other wagons likely means that there wasn't too much bussing. of the 7 votes on will, I'd say that a maximum of 2 are bussing, otherwise, all the mafia could've jumped ship to kill town instead. I doubt there was no bussing at all though, so probably 1-2 bus votes.
