Re: Mafia 65: Dreamland II [Hidden]
I tend to agree. But he is obviously not the kill today and I just don't get why people are voting him. I can't see no item that scum might have that is such a threat for town to warrant a D1 kill. And he is even offering himself to be the D2 kill, an offer that we should probably take...

Thank you

Quick Wikipedia search and I'd say kinda but not really.
Appreciate the other comments - those are pretty spot on (I hope)

Re: Mafia 65: Dreamland II [Hidden]
I've hit a nice little milestone today. It's totally outside the game but I wanted to mention it anyway because it's nice to have good news.
Today was my PhD Confirmation Review meeting. If you're doing a part-time PhD, the first 18 months is probationary. The Confirmation Review at the 18 month point determines if you're doing enough work, and stepping up to the academic level expected (and if not, they can boot you out).
I passed.

We didn't even politick in any way other than agreeing that British people are apparently incredibly rude in journalism and the 'enterprise' around the royal family are racist.

The Book of Face notified me of this as well - congratulations are well deserved good sir.Jamiet99uk wrote: ↑Wed Mar 10, 2021 6:06 pmI've hit a nice little milestone today. It's totally outside the game but I wanted to mention it anyway because it's nice to have good news.

My own analysis is that the window is highly subjective on what items people have and how much luck the 3P can actually pull off.jasnah wrote: ↑Wed Mar 10, 2021 4:03 pmNah. People were writing before already about how tight the margin is for catching scum in this setup. I haven't actually looked at the numbers myself but I'm inclined to trust what someone said once despite not remembering who it was or on what page they said it. No way muddying the waters like this is pro-town.
Re: Mafia 65: Dreamland II [Hidden]
My first reaction to most of you is contempt. I don't even think damo, Bona or Foxcastle are scum, just grade A idiots. It's probably why I don't usually have much success in making friends. Hard to tell.
I think that down the line we'll have many issues with me being a wagon every day. This game is also taking up too much of my time, or it was today, so I'm not gonna push back on my wagon.
I think Jamiet and Chaqa are both decent wagons going into tomorrow. I think lfischl and Vecna are town. I think damo, Bona and Foxcastle have not more than 1 non town. I think Bunny go may be non town. I don't think you should put much stock in what anyone says on D1 because it's at least four parts self-aggrandizement to every part substance, but it's a minimal cost and a lot of potential upside in ability to say 'wow I was right' for me to write this.
I'm pretty sure there are more than 5 maf, having read the role list at some point. Why are people running their mouths propagating fake news?

I can definitely say that Jamie is very capable of doing this and it isn't completely unprecedented in how he has behaved as scum before.Foxcastle wrote: ↑Wed Mar 10, 2021 4:05 pmThat is not what I said. I said that Jamiet is scum because he's baiting early votes onto himself by methods he *knows* will attract *snarky* and insubstantial votes, thereby ultimately deflecting real attention from him when it's time to form real wagons and people look at Jamiet's wagon and say "nah, that was just people messing with him because he takes things too seriously."

Congratulations, Jamie. That makes one of us who has something going for them outside of looking for emotional validation online!Jamiet99uk wrote: ↑Wed Mar 10, 2021 6:06 pmI've hit a nice little milestone today.
