Re: M1026: ghughog Day [Game Thread]
Worcej Deep Dive D1:
A rather offensive start, what with the crack on Canadian residential schools. Those four or five initial posts are fluff pieces though. Exchange with ND about sand filling a vacuum or something like that. However the next post from worcej is replying to brain about ND. “He’s the least likely scum.” Does mafia do that to their partner? The use of the qualifier is interesting. “Least likely” is much stronger than “They’re not mafia,” or some other phrase like that. Wouldn’t mafia avoid those sorts of qualifiers…I think they would want to equivocate or be as right-down-the-middle as possible.
In worcej’s 26 posts there just doesn’t seem to be a whole lot of meat. In replying to bozo about ND not being mafia-read, he simply states it’s due to content of posts and style.
As of the Day 1 reading, I’d be inclined to go worcej>jamie>sweet in order of mafianess.
Now looking at voting, worcej was on sweet the entire time. Worcej made it the lead wagon on that vote, but it wasn’t long-lasting. Sweet moved their vote around. Assuming that jamie didn’t bus, then it has to be worcej>sweet>jamie.
Based on that, it does seem that worcej has to go today but I am still not content to hammer. I want to read bozo’s anti-worcej efforts compared to worcej’s defence.

This was my last post, 17 hours ago, and I do not think anyone has answered yet.bozotheclown wrote: ↑Mon Oct 09, 2023 5:48 am@Jamie, sweetandcool, and HB: please look at worcej's only D1 vote and let me know what you think.

There isn’t any incontrovertible evidence here. I am in POE and need to be sorted. I have done as much as I can, meaning I am tapped out on skill ability, to be able to convince you all otherwise.Hamilton Brian wrote: ↑Mon Oct 09, 2023 8:41 pmI think ending is fine if there's incontrovertible evidence that the kill goes our way. I am not that confident in this case...right now. I also generally line up as very conservative/cautious when it comes to ending. It can be a pro-mafia ploy to stifle communication/solving. Which maybe if you are mafia, you pushing it might make sense?
I believe Jamie is scum.
I believe s&c are town.
I believe HB looks a little sketchy from early game.
I trust bozo to get it right during the extended night phase.

Tell me, tell me, tell me...why would mafia vote to end themselves. If they're caught wouldn't they just concede the game?
Self-voting isn't a town play, but why would mafia do it? I don't get it.

As town, parked the vote on their strongest mafia read?bozotheclown wrote: ↑Mon Oct 09, 2023 11:00 pmThis was my last post, 17 hours ago, and I do not think anyone has answered yet.bozotheclown wrote: ↑Mon Oct 09, 2023 5:48 am@Jamie, sweetandcool, and HB: please look at worcej's only D1 vote and let me know what you think.
As mafia, didn't bus their partner and parked a vote on someone who may or may not have gotten voted out.
Re: M1026: ghughog Day [Game Thread]
Do it HB - if you’re town, you cannot convince bozo to move off of me. I have tried and he’s dead set on me.
Let me be a martyr.

DAY 3 HAS ENDED EARLY
Day 3 Final Vote Count
worcej (4): sweetandcool*, worcej*, bozotheclown*
sweetandcool (1): Jamiet99uk
Hamilton Brian did not vote (because he voted post-hammer)
*End vote
Do you ever get Deja Vu, Mrs. Worcester?
WORCEJ has died. He was MRS. LANCASTER, a VANILLA TOWN.
Night 3 will last 47 hours, but you may PM me and Darg if you wish to hammer. Hammers must be unanimous. You may now post.

Go have rough sex with yourself, Worcej.
Your play today was egotistical and anti-town. I tried to stop you. You were very rude to me and rejected my response. You have an attitude problem, and you should probably seek therapy.
You can now see that I was town. You owe me a very serious apology, and I look forward to receiving it when the game ends.

Oh wait, I can post now.
Stunned that worcej wasn't it, but it explains the feeling I have been having, which is that everyone is playing too good.
When nobody seems to be the guy (unless you count me ): ), then the solution is to look towards the players that have been a bit *bland* and unpressured.
Since I'm convinced Jamiet is town, then Ham must be our guy.
It explains why it was so easy to catch ND D1. It was a bus meant to send Ham into deep cover and it has worked.

I thought it wasn't a coincidence that he kept pulling out of the self hammer quickly, turns out he just had more gumption than I thought.
