I had to pass humanoid question because obviously the thing appears completely like a human, but other times far from humanoid.

Political association is very close to a no, because primarily not connected but I couldn't be sure how strong people associated the thing with communism as said in the Wikipedia page, so I didn't want to give a wrong answer to confuse you. I chose the safer option of passing.

Animal?

I have to pass this one as well.

It is clearly not an animal, but the both movies have scenes where the thing appears as a dog, and also it fits the definition of an animal almost perfectly so I had to pass this as well.
