He's not on Wikipedia's List of American Grammy Award winners and nominees though.

Yeah, sometimes Wikipedia lists aren't comprehensive. He won a Grammy in 1963 for Best Original Jazz Composition.

Good game. I’ll admit that it took a bit of Wikipedia mining to find the right answer, although we had so much biographical information determined that just hovering over a name generally made it easy to exclude as a possibility without having to click on the link. Once I saw this individual was famous for Peanuts (including the Christmas episode), a light bulb went off and I figured he was it.
