Is this person primarily known for achievements in a subject that one might learn in American grade school? I will list the following: English language writing, mathematics, science (especially biology/physics/chemistry), studying history, athletics (physical education), or visual art?

Were this person’s parents born in what is now the United States?Aristocrat wrote: ↑Sat Aug 17, 2024 4:36 pmWith the caveat that I wasn’t there for this person’s first words, the answer appears to be no.

Free guess: Babe Ruth
I don't actually expect this to be it but everything fits so it's worth a shot

Wow, I didn’t know his first language was German! Great guess and great round.
Re: Twenty Questions - Game 370
:D
It seemed a bit too obvious given the last choice, but I guess it was right! I never knew he was a native German speaker.
Next thread will be up in an hour or so

Maybe it was obvious, but given Damo’s explanation last round, I had no choice…miminena wrote: ↑Sat Aug 17, 2024 11:41 pm:D

Nope. When Aaron hit his 715th home run in 1974 he beat Babe Ruth's career record of 714.
The prime factors of 714 are 2 3 7 17 which sum to 29 and the prime factors of 715 are 5 11 13 which also sum to 29.
Consecutive numbers with this property are known as Ruth-Aaron numbers or Ruth-Aaron pairs and 369 is a Ruth-Aaron pair with 370.

Ah, that's understandable. I don't think I could've resisted the urge either.Aristocrat wrote: ↑Sat Aug 17, 2024 11:43 pmMaybe it was obvious, but given Damo’s explanation last round, I had no choice…
