My soapbox comment:

If a man with genes that make him tall, he's a basketball player. If a man with genes that make him fast, he's a sprinter or a wide receiver. If a man with genes that make him strong, he's an athlete! If a woman has genes that make her strong, SHE MUST BE A MAN! Its absolutely ridiculous. Sport has all kinds of body types that benefit certain sports and certain athletes.

Only problem for me is, now I have to find a subject with some kind of connection to what had until recently been an obscure North African athlete.

I agree with everyone else's soapbox comments, and I also want to point out that it certainly hasn't been limited to American conservatives.
