Yes, yes, and yes. (I knew I shouldn't have given that clue but I'm an old M:TG player back from 3rd edition times and when I discovered Isshin looking up "samurai" on Gatherer I found that out and couldn't help myself here.)DreamTrawler wrote: ↑Sat Jul 13, 2024 4:24 amInvolved in the Sengoku Jidai?
If yes - Miyamoto Musashi?
(And was the card Isshin, Two Heavens as One?)
Yes, Miyamoto Musashi, warrior, lenedary duelist, painter, and writer of the famous _The Book of Five Rings_! According to Wikipedia, he may have been in Tokugawa's army for at least one battle (some of his other military exploits are now questioned) but he's much more well known for the dueling, writing, and painting. Since Q11 used the word primarily, I answered no for "military" but almost threw an asterisk there.
The dual question about "of born in Japan after 1599" I had to answer no to as well because he was born before 1599. I wondered if that would throw anyone off too.
Well done, gang!
