Was he gay or bisexual?
The only person you're truly competing against, Wesley, is yourself.
Re: Twenty Questions - Game 91
Certainly not openly, no hint, rumour or evidence so assume not. I was tempted to simply answer 'No' but I'm fending off the "how do you know" question.
No is a fair answer imo.

Did he *win* an Academy Award between 1990 and 2005 (inclusive)?

I'm going to let someone else have a turn.

The pool here is still extremely broad, but I'm honestly not sure the best way to narrow it.
Re: Twenty Questions - Game 91
Did he die in the Eastern Hemisphere and/or South of the 40th parallel north?

Is this satire?
The only person you're truly competing against, Wesley, is yourself.
Re: Twenty Questions - Game 91
Nope. Looks like just under half of everyone I'm considering died in California, which is South of the 40th parallel.

Re: Twenty Questions - Game 91
So all we actually know is that it's an Oscar-nominated American movie star, who died in California or a nearby state between 1991 and some time in the past 15 years or so, who was not gay and didn't usually wear a hat, and who didn't win an Oscar between 1990-2005.
We have one question left.
Free Guess:
Dennis Hopper

b) Not necessarily died in California or nearby state (in fact anywhere except the Western Hemisphere north of 40N). The birth and death constraints are opposite. You know he did not die where he was born.
Dennis Hopper was born south of 40N so is not a valid guess. Free guess refunded.

Re: Twenty Questions - Game 91
Let's brainstorm a final question. Suggestions:
- Did he also direct at least one movie?
- Did he have one or more children who went on to have careers in the film industry?
- Was he married to a famous actress?
- Did he ever guest star in an episode of "Columbo"?
- Is he buried in the Hollywood Forever Cemetery?

Re: Twenty Questions - Game 91
More possibilities:
- Was he famous for his flamboyant neckties and cravats?
- Did ever make bizarre and unsubstantiated claims about the sex life of Al Gore?
- Was he a licensed helicopter pilot?
- Did he ever feature in a TV commercial for a used car dealership in the Dallas - Fort Worth area?

Re: Twenty Questions - Game 91
More Options:
- does his handprint (if he has one) in the hollywood chinese theater sidewalk display any unusual finger shapes?
- has he ever regretted any particular role?
- what degree of Kevin Bacon is he?
- has his home ever been displayed on "Celebrity House Hunting?"
- was he ever on "Hollywood Squares?"

Re: Twenty Questions - Game 91
There is a finite list of possibles, not a huge list o would have thought. Might be worth making such list and thence determine a decent question.
I'd look at one of the following
Place or date of birth
Ditto death
Awards
