Is this the most famous role for the actor? (If another role is as famous, say no)
Subjective?

Was the film any good?

(in this instance we will use the most common definition of "any good" in the moving picture sense, being any film that features in the top 100 films ranked by the IMDB, the 3 original Star Wars films, any Indiana Jones film made in the 20th Century, and the entire Carry On series [with the exceptions of Carry On Emmannuelle and Carry On Columbus] ... and Demolition Man :-D)

I won't count my current reply as a response to one of the 20 questions. Technically that was a subjective question, of course, but I don't think that there is much dispute to the fame in this case.

Ha ha, what? I can answer your question and ignore the parenthetical if you like. Or you can provide me with the exact list of films that you're talking about and I can answer question. Or I can answer both questions and count it as two questions. Let me know.

Quite an extensive question. :-D

I will provide some links for reference.
So either in this list's top-100:
https://www.imdb.com/chart/top/

Or in this list:
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Carry_On_ ... y_On_films
Except for the last two.

Or one of these:
Star Wars - A New Hope
Star Wars - The Empire Strikes Back
Star Wars - Return of the Jedi
Raiders of the Lost Ark
Indiana Jones and the Temple of Doom
Indiana Jones and the Last Crusade

So we're looking for a male character, from a film released in 1979 or earlier, who is a goodie. This character has not appeared in any other films. It's a pretty famous character.

But does "top 100 films ranked by the IMDB" = "IMDb Top [100] as rated by regular IMDb voters" ?

@Jamiet99uk
I was not trying to filter the incorrect answers from the list Octavius gave, I was just trying to make it easier for JECE to check if the film we're talking about is somewhere in the list.

@JECE
Is there another kind of rating on IMDB that we can sort on to get the 'best' films?
I thought user ratings were the only available option.

Has the actor portraying the character won an Oscar?

Ugh, I lost my first draft of my reply.

You're probably right, but there is also this ranking:
https://www.imdb.com/chart/moviemeter

I also found other lists, but on closer inspection they seem to be the work of individual IMDb users. For example, this:
https://imdb.com/list/ls055592025/

Anyway, I waw confused, so I asked for clarification from Octavious.

I was considering asking if the character was animated, but I have to imagine any worthwhile animated character probably has had a bunch of kids books based on them.

Hm .. is the film based in real world earth?

How many questions are we up to?
(This does not count as a countable question)
