Re: MAFIA XXXVI: ODDJOB'S REVENGE
(At the satellite relay station, Sean Bean is arming an Ion cannon to vaporize the moon)
(Red Grant is strapped to the machine, dangling just above the Ion Laser opening, a soft wind blows from the west)
Sean Bean: Oh it is a gift Mr. Bond. That we should suffer so much fear and doubt over such a tiny thing, such a precious little thing. (Glances up at the moon)
Red: You are totally mad Sean Bean! Im not Bond!! Im just Red! We need the moon, it controls our tides, it stabilizes our gravity. The moon is not tiny!
Sean Bean: Save your whimpering for the Ion Cannon, I care not. By order of Nemesis Corporation, first of their name, ruler and leader in Bio Mechanical Futuristic Weaponry, and seven Hardee's/Carl's Junior Restaurants in the Mississippi River valley, I sentence you to death by Ion Disintegration.
Crony 1: Boss lets just fire this shit up, boom, bonds dead we win. Cmon.
Sean Bean: No, the device is not ready yet. Also there's more Bonds to capture and tie to our device!
Crony 1: This isn't the last of them?
Sean Bean: No, it is never over. I ask only for the strength to defend my people!
Crony 1: Yes sir, um, so how does the Ion Cannon work?
Sean Bean: Bring me the fuel pod Crony, i'll show you how its done.
Crony 1: You mean the mullet?
Sean Bean: Yes, Chaqa’s mullet.
Crony 1: Ah, the one we scalped off that guy at the stadium? That red sox game?
Sean Bean: Yes, the one we got off that scalper.
(Crony 2 arrives with a key and a small black box)
Crony 2: Sir, I have the mullet. Are you sure this mullet has enough energy to fuel the Ion Cannon? Shouldn't we just do something simpler to kill bond? Like run him over with a tank, or throw him in a volcano… or…
Sean Bean: A volcano. Do not be stupid. Not with ten thousand men could you take a prisoner like this into a volcano. He would escape and the very air he would breathe would be a poisonous fume. It is folly.
Crony 1: I mean, the fumes would kill bond also…like the lava doesn't have to kill him. We don't need 10,000 guys, just a big ass eagle or dump his ass out of a helicopter-
Sean Bean: Enough. I will hear no more of this. Give me the mullet.
(Crony 2 hands him the fuel pod)
(He opens the fuel cell chamber and ignites the ion cannon starter)
Sean Bean: I'm inserting Chaqa’s mullet into the fuel chamber now…
Any last words mister bond?
Red: Please, Kill me, just don't destroy the moon dude!
Sean Bean: Im sorry Ezio. But the moon and your demise are a package deal.
Red: How do you know my real name?
Sean Bean: You are wearing a lab coat that says Ez Gaem Ez Life We have no one by that name in our squad, no one that illliterate nor basic. Next time be more discreet, and lose the red clown nose.
Crony 1: Ignition beginning sir! Chaqa’s Mullet is LOADED with energy!
Sean Bean: Yes, if only the rest of his overall play was as tenacious as his mullet we would have-
(The Ion Cannon fires, vaporizing Red)
(The moon explodes)
Ezio has died he was Red Grant a Vanilla Town
Town has been defeated.
Snowy and Vashta Neurotic have been vaporized on moon base 1.
The earth falls

Re: MAFIA XXXVI: ODDJOB'S REVENGE
Good game. This was one of the best games I've played.
I have never nightkill anybody before, I hope I'll be mafia at next game.

Re: MAFIA XXXVI: ODDJOB'S REVENGE
I’m actually kind of surprised it took so long for people to really dig into me. I definitely slipped a couple times (at one point I said I didn’t like the idea we’d done town v town 3 days and I freaked out and hoped no one would notice), and there were a few too many times I said “I’m going to read” and then I never post quotes or analyses.

Congrats Prado and all scum team, I think you played a brilliant game. There were so little participation you didn't get the heat you should for not engaging, only at the end, but it was too late.TrPrado wrote: ↑Sun Jun 03, 2018 12:01 amI’m actually kind of surprised it took so long for people to really dig into me. And Vash figured out the game pretty fast, thanks for joining in and making an effort Vash.
Snowy lost the game on lylo, myslynching a disappeared Ezio. I think this resumes well the whole game.

Good game, all! I was obviously willing to lynch DrCJG, but it was mostly a hunch, and didn't see TrPrado coming at all. Well done.

Re: MAFIA XXXVI: ODDJOB'S REVENGE
Congrats Tr, Dr, and team!
This was one of the better run mafia games on a non-mafia site that I have seen, and Tom gets the biggest congratulations and thanks (with honorable mention to the Lundbot -- that thing makes this so much better).
Look forward to the next one, and the policy lynch lurker requirement

Re: MAFIA XXXVI: ODDJOB'S REVENGE
First off, congrats to the scumteam - I thought you all played very well. There was no weak play from any of you, and without the cop scans this would have been tremendously one-sided.
Second, I want to thank brainbomb for filling in for me at the two deadlines where it was difficult for me - much appreciated. I also want to thank the subs who were able to fill in and keep the game going. In particular Vash, who agreed to join because he wanted to make sure a modkill didn't decide the game and had a whopping 134 pages to catch up on. That's really hard as a sub.
I think people need to do a better job of agreeing to join games they actually plan on playing. I empathize with Jamie's frustration because lack of activity killed town this game. It makes it really hard to read players when they do not post, and allowed scum to drive play. Jamie's reads may have been off for example, but he was fairly widely townread because of his actions - and that is extremely valuable as it forces a NK rather than a mislynch. Town players need to get better at reading players, but town players also have to do a better job of getting themselves townread.
Also, props to our new players. I think they were all great additions and I hope we see them in future games.

Go team! Enjoyed my first game as mafia. Apologies for my lower than usual participation, but still a fun game! I might sit out the next few since I have a really busy summer.

Nice job scum team! You had us fooled. I don't think we would have gotten anywhere at all without those cop scans.
Re: MAFIA XXXVI: ODDJOB'S REVENGE
Good job team.
Interesting that TrP was apparently worried about me early on, but I am glad I was able to find my footing. Certainly look forward to playing again, but I would like to see a little more activity at points... I found myself trying to post lightly to blend in (though I did have a hectic week in there).
The ability to really look back through everything that was said thanks to Peterbot is really fascinating and I am excited to think more next time about leaving some crumbs/soft clues next time.
Happy to hear criticism of my first game, seems like I came on a little too strong there at the end. But, I thought my argument for lynching Yav or I made sense... if it did, it was clearly poor execution.
