Winning as England----without building fleets!

England is a powerful player, boasting a mighty navy and a defensible position, it can be dangerous. But what if England weren't allowed to build fleets? I investigated this possibility in the following game. I didn't actually win, but I did survive with 8 centers, not bad under the circumstances. An English army defending her home cities, I discovered, is even more impregnable than fleets. Attacking became very difficult, however, especially when German and French fleets forced my own back onto dry land. It created a very interesting dynamic that definitely was fun to play!

The game would have been a draw if the bots realized that Italy was about to win. Instead, France kept tapping the back of the German armies that were defending the stalemate line

I wouldn't have tried to ally a Germany with three fleets.

I knew that an early war with France or with Germany would probably spell destruction because they could build fleets near me, so I tried to just watch while they fought each other. I made a misorder and accidentally moved to the Mid Atlantic Ocean in the middle of the game, a move that was terrible because France thought I was declaring war

OOPS! From memory thought I made do with the 01 one!! Forgot I ended up needing the two in Baltic and Bothnia, one in Barents and the NTH for all the efficient convoys...still, I remember loving the fact I had an England in Serbia with 12 armies on the continent!
