any country other than austria :-) especially as the bot creators did;nt really understand the game of diplomacy and strangely programmed italy to attack austria 90% of the time which is unlike any format of real diplomacy
It's a lot, but (as I think I've said before) it's not as much as you think it is.

In any case, I just finished this one, which was game #83 as Austria:

https://webdiplomacy.net/board.php?gameID=1260768

...yes, Italy attacked... but Turkey went after Russia and they got into it, so I had some breathing room and made it work (I kind of especially like that I took no Turkish or Russian home centers). That makes 17/83 for Austria, which is just over 20%. I feel like 1 solo out of 5 with Austria is doing pretty well.

I'm up to 581 bot games, 83 as each power. I don't cancel games where the bot opening moves are unfavorable. In any case, as usual, full stats are available here: https://docs.google.com/spreadsheets/d/1gfIraEmmONofeeI0scnzycsxokDLlrEK-rat572-S-I/edit?usp=sharing

"I'm up to 581 bot games, 83 as each power"

I think we all know who the bot is.
"Okay, quick question. The Internet. That's the one with e-mail, right?"

I play various games with co-workers at lunchtime, they also accuse me of being a robot.

It's taken a *long* time to play that many games, although I do hope to get up to 700 total (100 for each power).

DougJoe is CICERO.
JOSHUA, maybe (Greetings Professor Falken) - I'm an 80's kid and I wish I was as good as how good I remember hearing CICERO was.

(Now I'm wondering if any of the young'ns will get that reference...)

Interesting, it seems the only way to win the game is to not play.

Would you like to play a game of chess? (I think that’s the quote)

Close, it's "How about a nice game of chess?" (and I can hear the inflections in my head) +1 anyway for getting it.

One of my favorite movies.

The diplomacy community really failed in teaching the bot creators the purpose of the game / semantics of the game /

My younger brother gave me a t-shirt for Christmas that he designed that has a cool Diplomacy logo on the front and a summary of my bot game results on the back. I'll post links to pictures sometime soon, it's pretty cool.
