Dixiecon Diplomacy Tournament
The 36th Annual Event —Chapel Hill NC— May 27-29, 2022

Newsletter #1 - late March 2022
Dixiecon is the longest-running Diplomacy tournament location in the world. And it is about two months away at this point. Make plans NOW to join us for the triumphant return to face-to-face play after two years of Covid-induced virtual tournaments.

What's New?

1. We've already got players confirmed from seven states and one from overseas.
2. A GM has been recruited for the Speedboat (5 min. turn Gunboat) event, which folk will play online whether or not physically at Dixie.
3. Some have already registered for the side tournaments in Terraforming Mars and assorted other board games, what we call the Iron Man of Gaming event.
4. On-the-scene reporters are lined up to provide full tournament coverage on the Diplomacy Broadcast Network YouTube and Twitch channels.
5. Dixiecon's website has been updated with pricing info, registration form, and highlights from past events.
6. We have volunteer CADs (Carolina Amateur Diplomats) ready to provide free rides to and from the Raleigh Durham International airport (RDU).

Will be whatever the University rule is at that point. I think the answer will be no requirement by late May.
